Hello. I'm a 26 year old guy from Manchester, UK, and been into Sega since the Master System. The Saturn is my all-time favourite console, followed closely by the Dreamcast and the 360. I have quite a large Saturn collection (in fact I have large collections of many different retro consoles) but having moved into a 2 bedroom flat 5 months ago with my wife, I don't get the opportunity to set it up as often as I'd like, let alone play on it. I'm a multimedia developer by trade working for a respected company in Cheadle, and I am also currently setting up Quak Multimedia ( www.quak.co.uk) on the side. It's nice to have found this site/forum and I hope to contribute in as many ways as I can. Happy New Year to you all. ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome - I'm sure I will indeed enjoy my stay here. Marc - where abouts in Manchester are you from, mate? Meeting up for a few beers and discussing the Saturn with someone that's as interested in it as I am would be cool!

Don't get shot in Moss-Side =O !
Really, I heard Manchester recently overtook Nottingham (nearest city to where I currently live) for nastiness =/ !
Hello !
Also, I notice that I may be the youngest person posting here despite normally being considered an olde timer everywhere else I posted in the past.

Yeah there are some rough areas here that can make the place a less enjoyable place to live, but I think most of the UK is on the same path. With the government making it illegal for parents to discipline their own kids and for teachers to single out bad students at the same time as rewarding criminals (sorry, I mean "vulnerable people") with holidays abroad, free laptops and even a cosy room with a TV and a pool table (known as prison), it's only gonna get worse as time goes on.
Give it another 20/30 years and the UK will be one nasty place to live.

Welcome. I live in Manchester as well. I used to be OK but the division between it's middle class and working class areas has become greater since 1996. There's plenty of money in the city but no real jobs. Give a few years and the office worker will all be eastern european migrants work for minimum wage. It used to be a huge industrial city but this country doesn't manufacture things anymore. Manchester City Council is thinks Manchester is something it's not. It's all a big show for the rest of the country.

Having lived all over the U.K I have to say it's the same everywhere, good and bad areas, buildings and people (some good some bad). Manchester is getting worse, just like everywhere else, I still say london is the worst place to live ( lots of rough boroughs) followed by Birmingham and Bradford not forgetting Sheffield and Leeds.
Ninjacop88,...gareth and myself are gonna have a few beers and talk saturn, you up for it too? Probably in a few weeks time.

In response to this - I feel England has been an awful place to live in for a long time now. Honest people have no human rights or freedom of speech i conspires.
They can't take our Saturns away though.
Wait, the bailifs can.
Crap.

I did my RAC training with a guy from Stockport.
While we were training in Chesterfield, we went back to his gaff one night for a run in the car. He had bits of broken Ford Escort and Mondeo in his garden and bars on his ground floor windows.
He said it was an improvement on where he'd been housed before in Moss side

Yeah, Moss-Side is a nasty place (a lady friend of mine lives rather near there, and it has an effect on the surrounding areas apparently) but it's not nearly as bad at Saint Annes in Nottingham or Cotmanhay [sic] in Derby.
Huh, never thought Chetserfield was THAT dodgy ...
I'm just thankful I don't live in Kenya or Pakistan =/
(Georgia will probably be next)
