Always wanted to and I finally imported games! Castlevania I was most excited about, and was one of the reasons I got the system (I'm aware of the framerate, video resolution issues on cutscenes, and slightly less eye-candy effects, but 2 extra stages and Maria dammit!(shes different in the PSP version)). What I liked most was it came complete, in shrinkwrap, and the disc was perfect! Castlevania fan since SC4!
Sonic Jam is less exciting, but $60 brand new plus shipping, WAY better deal than a used US copy for $50 plus shipping. Interested to try the hub world, and a mini compilation on the Saturn is a nice little treat to have, and will definitely have a lot of play time!

Wait... did Sonic Jam actually jump up in price that much for a JPN copy?
Holy crap.

Wow man, that's some overspend on Sonic Jam just to get a sealed copy. The JP version is a $10-$20 game all day long, including shipping! Either way I certainly hope that you enjoy your first imports

It's not so much that, although it is a factor. Just don't want to see anyone new to the scene overpaying for their stuff

I am the definition of newbie lol. I got the system a few weeks ago, and I just wanted a few shiny games to have for the system. I was aware I could get the game used for like $10-15, but it was my first time importing, kind of wanted to make something out of it I guess? Anyway, I don't plan on overspending in the future lol. Thanks, guys

Thanks, guys You won't be the first one and won't be the last one to overspend. Don't see the problem really. Some people spend $200 on games they never play just to complete their collection. This also drives up prices and concerns me more. That said, a lot of people overpaying would increase the prices for all of us that much is true, so I do understand the comments. However in this case: big deal Oh and more to the point: enjoy your imports!

Ouch, pricey. If you're new to importing games, especially from Japan then I would say that about 95% of the games I've imported all look like they have just been removed from the factory sealed wrap and are in immaculate condition. You quickly realise that buying sealed games isn't necessary.

^^^^ This.
Everything I've had from Japan has been in exceptional condition, even a few things that were described as only being acceptable or given B- ratings for condition.

We've all done it mate, when I started collecting neo-geo stuff many moons ago I massively overpaid for a few things by hundreds lol

Hey mate, Im on your side here. I don't think you overpaid at all. You paid $60us? Which is about $38 pound. On EBay most copies go for around 20 pound. But your copy was sealed never opened. Of course your going to pay a higher price for that! If you did overpay. Maybe for 5 bucks. No biggie. I remember when I first posted here someone said the same thing to me. I'm from Australia, I don't think they understood the conversion rate.

Yeah lol I was interested in neo geo too, but those prices Too bad, some amazing games on the console (I'd go metal slug series, magician lord, sengoku series to name a few). And the arcade sticks! BTW, hows the system?

Yeah games are so expensive down in Australia, like $100 for a new game? It's ridiculous, but at least the better games nowadays are usually cheaper(newer retro stuff like axiom verge, but honestly, why does EVERY new game have to have an open world with padded out plot and objectives like ubisoft stuff?)

Nah mate, I wouldn't say Saturn games are any more expensive in Australia then the UK. Prices are basically exactly the same. I check out Ebay Aus and EbayUK often for games. You have to factor in the conversion rate. 1pound is basically $2aud. Whether I buy a game for Aus or UK I'm paying the exact same price. I have been forced to buy some games from the UK, not cuz it's cheaper cuz I can't find some rarer titles EG - Deep Fear. In Australia.
