Hello all I have just recently pulled out all the old consoles I still have (Sega Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast) and am having problems with the Saturn. It powers on, boots up to the main menu but it will not read disk. I have searched on this forum and found similar topics but I can't find any that talk about the lens motor. Mine seems to be frozen up because the disk will not spin and the lens will not move up and down on the lens shaft. It will not move unless I manually turn the gears, which I did just to see if it would move then. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The drive will not spin up if the laser can't see the disc. So most likely you have a problem with the laser.
Adjust the tray length as a first, that should be enough to get it spinning up - it'll spin up once the laser is in focus, even if it can't really read the disc.
