I took the plunge and ordered a JPN saturn. Very exciting. I've read through many many threads but something I couldn't find an answer to was the voltage.
Japanese saturn console states 100v on the back, but the UK step down transformer state they go to 110-120. This is based on the Mercury brand previously recommended.
Is this difference in voltage ok?
For example, this model has been recommended

That should be fine mate, I have the same step-down knocking about and popped a multi-meter in to test and it outputs a steady 119v. Japanese electronics should be fine within 100v-120v, i'm no expert so not sure how much higher that tolerance would go to.

After further research, I suspect my standard eBay 110-120 v step down should be adequate... I'll find out this weekend!

I'm using Japanese consoles with a 120v stepdown and there aren't any problems.

Thank you guys
I'm hoping to test out the Japanese model later today.
Have panzer dragoon and virtua fighter 2. Both great and affordable JPN games.
I'll post up a photo of the set up
