hi, nice site, only just found it! im on my third bout of saturnness. i got one june '96 using lots of money i'd saved over the years. All my friends had ps1's of course. my favourite games were daytona usa and fighters megamix, daytona is unplayable now in my opinion, ive got a model 2 emulator though so thats ok. swapped my saturn when i had a bout of madness with 30 games for an n64 with mario cant deny mario is a great game though. having got a grand collection of megadrive/mega cd and dreamcast i bought another saturn at a car boot, built up a wicked collection but i sold it all early last year as my car needed some work. gutted. still, i got that sega bug and now have a phase 1 saturn (which i foolishly thought would be easier to chip) and have started building up my collection again. need some things - my nights pad doesnt work in port 1? burning rangers bomberman fighters megamix sonic r virtua gun. get all that done and i'll be happy. currently playing - deathtank/sfa2/sonic jam.

Welcome to the forum - I don't know about chipping, but installing "switches" for playing imports is pretty much the same on all Saturns, albeit different solder points on the motherboard. (Modding some of them to 60Hz/50Hz switch involves soldering a wire to the video-chip on some of them)

I hear ya on the Daytona thing. It was my favourite racer ever, until I got it on the HDTV screen. This really mashes up the graphics. Its still fun, just a bit painfull to see. Virtua Fighter also suffers alot at the hands of High Def. I hope I can sort it out. Apparantly there is a way. I hear ya on the Sonic Jam thing. SFAII is wicked too. Get a load of the Sega Rally competition though. Its the perfect excuse to burn up that Desert Track as long as I can handle. This holds its own on the HDTV screen. Its a perfect Arcade port.
