I like to see some Marvel Super Heroes love. That seemed to the one game that the Saturn version wasnt vastly superior like people came to expect from Saturn 2D fighters.
However I had a question about the game for when I purchase it in the future. I heard its compatible with the 1MB cart. Does this give it any kind of performance boost? I imagine it would at least a little.

No advocates for Street Fighter Collection? SSF2 should at least get a look in when fighting games are discussed.
Have you considered some random fighters, K1 is a surprisingly good game and when you have group of friends playing fighters, if it's gonna last a few rounds before someone throws a tantrum then having games that no one has seen will level the playing field so to speak.
It doesn't fit the bill of being strictly 2D but why exclude games that are good fun in groups.

No advocates for Street Fighter Collection? SSF2 should at least get a look in when fighting games are discussed. As great as SSF2 is, if I was going to introduce a friend to a console they had never played before, SSF2 is the last game I'd want to showcase. It's a 16-bit Snes/Genesis game. And knowing that those console versions don't have load times being that they're cartridge, where's the wow factor for the Saturn version? Plus literally every console had a port of that game. A graphical boost yes. A performance boost, sadly no. The game still plays at the same speed and loads at the same speed. Since we're on the subject of X-Men Cota and Marvel Superheroes, you might wanna check out my two reviews I did for this site. Is there any difference playing the game at PAL 50hz vs NTSC as far as slowdown?

Is there any difference playing the game at PAL 50hz vs NTSC as far as slowdown? No difference in slowdown. But the PAL version will run 17.5% slower and have those big black boarders on the top and bottom half of the screen being that it's unoptimized.

I also heard that there are sound glitches, especially in the intro of x-men vs sf, is it true ? Sych, i've just read your reviews of X-Men COTA and MSH, they are just great! It seems like X-Men is more grounded game than MSH, due to air combos which they introduced in MSH. Me and my cousin love to play Mortal Kombat (from Trilogy on ps1, IV on Dreamcast to armageddon on ps2) but i'd like to introduce my cousin to the world of Capcom games. Do you think X-Men COTA is a good starting point ? We've tried Street Fighter 3rd Strike on DC, but my cousin was complaining about the lack of super powers (he loves those teleports, fireballs and other crazy things from mortal kombat and hadouken in SF just doesn't satisfy him).

Yes X-Menvs SF will experience sound glitches if you try to play it in 50hz. All additional RAM games should really be played in 60hz. Glad you liked the two reviews. I do think X-Men Cota is a very good starting point as it is the foundation game for every Marvel inspired Capcom game that appeared on the Saturn. It's one of the fighters where the term "You get out, what you put in" fully applies. Button-bashing just won't work for X-Men Cota, you have to know what you're doing. The best way to become familiar with a lot of the characters quickly but efficiently is to do Team Battle Mode with a mate allowing you to select five characters each, study the manual and moves list and then just try things out. Once you've mastered the game to a decent level, every other Marvel Capcom fighter that follows after will become a walk in the park. MSH would be a good place to stop off next after X-Men Cota before either X-MenvsSF or MSHvs SF to become familiar with the air thrust combo system (Ariel Raves) as they are an integral part of the latter games.

I'm obviously a little bit biased when I say get X-men vs Streetfighter because I bought it yesterday, but I was extremely happy to see Cammy as part of the roster!

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 I'd rent this one for a week, return it then immediately get it back out for another spin, which happened so much that in the end I got my local rental store's copy given to me for nothing - they told me it would actually have been cheaper if I'd just gone out and bought it new! When mentioning 2D's classic Mortal Kombat, i've only played MK Trilogy on psx. Have you guys played psx and sega saturn version of MK Trilogy ? Are there any differences in overall gameplay ? (i can imagine that sega saturn pad may be better than psx's dual shock). Or maybe UMK3 is better than MK Trilogy on Sega Saturn ? I was wondering if introducing my cousin to sega saturn version of Mortal Kombat will improve the fun factor of the game.

The Saturn port of MK Trilogy unfortunately was a bit rushed. Saturn version should have certainly been the superior one. Its not awful but has some slowdown.
However UMK3 is not only a Saturn exclusive, but IMO is the best classic MK game anyway even if the MKT port had been perfect. So UMK3 is definitely the perfect release to own on Saturn.

Hey, don't know if this is the right thread but i've just one question about Street Fighter Zero 2 and Street Fighter Collection. I didn't know that SSF Collection includes SSFZ 2 and i always own SSFZ2 So it is worth to buy Street Fighter Collection if you own SSFZ2? Thanks for advice

There are a few changes, character versions and selections being the most obvious then there are some moves that have been tweaked or added. Think of it as SFA/Z2.1
Worth buying if you're SFA2 diehard.

Does it mean that the game is more balanced ? Which one plays better from the street fighter alpha fan point of view ?

Full list of changes etc HERE
