Is it worth to buy Street Fighter Alpha 2 if you already own Street Fighter Zero 2? Just ask because i bought a saturn / games package with Street Fighter Alpha 2. But SFA2 has NO manual. And my problem is i hate incomplete games. I have three options - sell the incomplete game, buy a complete game or keep it incomplete. Best solution is to buy just the manual but where can you buy a single manual The 3RD Option. You don't really need a manual for SFA2 as game info can be found on the internet nowadays. But if the OCD is really kicking in then just keep an eye out on Ebay/Amazon. Saturn manuals do occasionally pop up. If you do decide to buy the game complete and sell the incomplete one (which I don't recommend) then you might as well get Streetfighter Collection instead either PAL or JPN. You'll have shell out a bit more for the PAL version though.

At the moment is a Street Fighter Alpha 2 Game for about 20€ on ebay via instant buy available. I bought the package (Saturn + 12 Games) for about 95€ incl shipping. So 20€ for a complete game then sell the incomplete one but who will buy incomplete game... too much efford, i keep the game

The King of Fighter '98 or King of Fighter 2002: Unlimited Match. They both require spot-on execution unlike Street Fighter series but pulling off chain-combination into supers (super devastation) attacks are really fulfilling! Also KOF allows you to buffer attacks so you can input one slightly into the next.

I'm missing Groove on fight. While it is far from the best fighter on the Saturn it isn't as bad as some others. It features some really nice graphics, though game mechanics could be a lot better. Certainly fun for a few games. I recently re-bought it again. Such a great game, some of the mechanics balance the game out being in-depth once you give it some time. Although the loading times in between matches you'll just have to get used to.

I agree with you, but, although not mentioned in the title, this was for Saturn-only 2D fighters But sure, KOF98UM and KOF02UM are absolutely phenomenal (I have the PS2 versions).

So am I right in thinking the general consensus re. Capcoms Saturn 2D fighters is as follows?
SFA2>SFZ3>SFA
X Men: COTA>MSH
X Men vs Street Fighter>MSH vs SF
Looks about right to me if so.

I agree with all bar SFA series. Definitley SFZ3>SFA2 & SFA. And I believe that is the general consensus and rightfully so. Nothing beats battling it out in World Tour Mode and Dramatic Battle. Endings are better in SFZ3. Plus Guile, Cammy, Fei-Long, Dee-Jay and T-Hawk make a long overdue return to the series. Thank god I don't have to put up with Charlie anymore. Regarding Alpha 1 and 2, I actually prefer Alpha 1. But SFZ3 is definitely the top. Easily one of the top 10 best games avaliable on the Saturn.

Not entirely correct, but perhaps the general consensus. From what I have gathered, 'general consensus' would have it as MSH > COTA. Personal preference and exceptional taste would deem the lists as follows: SFZ3 > SFZ > SFZ2/Gold XM > MSH MSH vs SF > XM vs SF > MSH vs CAP > MSH vs CAP 2 - Also, Loveless is one of my all time favourite albums

I always thought SFZ3 was considered the best. But reading through various threads about it recently on reddit, neogaf, shoryuken.com it seems that Alpha 2 has become more well regarded.
Mind you I'm not really good enough for any of SFZ3's major issues to affect me (balance etc) as I don't play tournaments or anything. V-ism is noticeably OP, but we just agree to both fight in Z-ism when I'm with a friend so it's not exactly an issue. I tend to prefer Alpha 2's more modest aesthetic and classic Street Fighter feel to Alpha 3's more abrasive and loud visual and auditory style, but that's completely subjective and not really gameplay related.

I've heard it's not worth bothering with as SFA2 is similar but improves upon the original in every way. Guessing I should rethink that and give the original a go? Loveless is my no.1 album ever. Incidentally, some of the codas on the Tremolo EP remind me of Panzer Dragoon in a strange ineffable way that I can't quite put my finger on. Also I've just realised I've completely forgotten about Darkstalkers. I love both games, but they're also quite different to each other in some ways. Hard to choose which one is better. If pushed, I guess Vampire Savior due to 4MB RAM support?
