Hi, So we've got a Model 1 Saturn (PAL) unit in the workshop to do a 50/60hz mod on. As this is the first model 1 PAL unit my new guy has done the mod on, he has a couple questions, just to make sure we get the mod right and do the best job possible, so I immediately thought Zyrobs would be the man to ask (though any other Saturn hardware gurus feel free to answer too of course!) So, what we need to know is the best way to wire up the Button and Reset wires from the PIC as per the switchless mod on mmonkeys page (scroll way down): www.mmmonkey.co.uk/sega-saturn-region-free-bios/The above link describes the process for Japanese and US Saturns, BUT what we need to know is how it's done on a Model 1 PAL Saturn as that has the Reset button on a separate, smaller PCB that has naturally has a very different configuration to the model 2 Saturn. Do we just need to cut the track on the rear of the small PCB which leads to the Reset button, then attach the Button wire to the location where the cut track connects to the Reset button? Then does the Reset wire from the PIC connect to the other end of the cut track? Just want to be sure. Note that we're ONLY doing 50/60hz switching here, not region free. For region free we only fit the region free BIOS now, but this particular customer is just using an Action Replay anyway. Thanks in advance.
