Hello, folks.
First bought a Saturn in 2008, enjoyed it but had some priorities change and ended up selling the lot (a shame, as I had some good stuff).
Bought another one in 2010, sold that later as I wasn't using it.
In 2014 I was hopping yard sales looking for end tables when I found a pair of Saturns for sale for $15. Bought them, sold one on eBay and kept the second. Didn't have a video cable or games for it, it just sat in storage for a while. End of last year I got it out, tore it apart and deep cleaned it (it had serious bug/Dorito issues from the last owner), and brought back with me to college.
Past month I've been toying with buying an SNES, but Friday I decided to finally commit to Saturn, as there are still a lot of games I haven't experienced on it.
My local indie game shops don't have much for Saturn sadly. Of the three only one had any and it was mostly sports titles (and meh ones at that) so I ended up with Black Fire, which...yeah. At least the case is in good shape.
That being said I dropped some coin on eBay Saturday and I have a Gameshark, PD II (JP), Sega Rally, VF2, and Bug! on the way to start.
Anyway, I'm in the game and looking to stay around this time. I love seeing that nice black monster churn out those polys and sprites, and it's not a bad CD player either.

Welcome back to the real world of SEGA Saturn! PDZ, SRally and VF2 are 3 of the best games for the system so, you've made good inroads there. The perfect combo to start with tbh. Enjoy.

What's with the avatar? That games an unofficial sequel to a N64 series for modern consoles. Is there supposed to be a Saturn reference I'm missing?

Playtonic made that for their April Fools joke; they claimed that due to budget restraints they were scaling back to do a Saturn exclusive release.
