Hi guys
quick question, I have brought a lightgun over the weekend and it does not work properly, I can use the start button on the gun but when trying to shoot it flashes with a noise but it does not make any damage to the villain. The thing is I have house of the dead as an import and I don't know if that's the reason. I do have virtual cop 1 and 2 in pal but there at my parents house at the moment so I don't know if it makes a difference.

Are you using an HDTV?
Lightguns ONLY work on old CRT televisions and only on those that are 50/60Hz, there is no work around for this, you'll need an old CRT.

Not sure, if you're running an IMPORT game on a PAL console using an AR, that might cause a conflict with the gun registering too (if using a CRT)

Timing could be a factor, I have a couple third part light guns that say work at 50,60 and 100hz. Haven't tested my light gun with any PAL shooting games. The only PAL game I have is DiscWorld.

I ve played Virtua cop 1 and another konami shooter (the one with zombies I cannot remember the name) in JP version on my euro saturn in RGB and I had no problems.
BUT I would suggest you tried your gun on the port 2 because I got one of my saturn for which the port 1 did not recognize the gun!!!!! but it worked perfectly on port 2 (maybe dust or oxydation)
