If you want to hear more gushing about NiGHTS, here's my Steam review. It's the highest ranked Steam review for NIGHTS and I think I did a pretty good job selling it. steamcommunity.com/id/sonnington/recommended/219950/Does anyone here play through the tracks for high score? Would you agree NiGHTS is the best looking and one of the most technically impressive games for Saturn?

One of my favourites, love the intro as well. Pure amazing from Sonic Team. Recently played Christmas NiGHTS, that is awesome as well.

Would you agree NiGHTS is the best looking and one of the most technically impressive games for Saturn? Certainly is. The colors alone are wonderful. There is alot going on with the visuals. Id say overall later Saturn 3D games were more impressive but nothing to be taken away from Nights. In fact I think one of the most technically impressive 3D games on the system would be Nakas next title Burning Rangers.

Sonic R might be my favorite 3D game to look at on the system as a whole. Enemy Zero had a great blend of good FMV and polygon. Also it was released in fall 1997, at least over here. Sega's Arcade stuff always looked great IMO. VF2, Fighting Vipers, Die Hard Arcade, Last Bronx, Sega Rally, VC2 and so on I love to look at. Even Steep Slope Sliders which has a more "earthy" color pallet. Heck I still get enjoyment out of House of the Deads 3D despite it being maybe 60% complete. One of my other favorite polygon games on the system would be Contra LOW which sadly only got the US release. Lots of big polygon bosses. Res Evil and Deep Fear came out good as well.

Quick question. I´ve just picked up Xmas Nights into Dreams (should arrive before xmas ) so want to get some tips for Gilwing (I think that´s his name), since he is the boss of XMNID. I hate this boss as I find it obnoxiously awkward and tough to kill him with a loop. Anyone got any advce on how best to tackle him?

I hate this boss as I find it obnoxiously awkward and tough to kill him with a loop. Anyone got any advce on how best to tackle him? It's been a while, but I used to always use Gilwing for a reliable 2.0 modifier. First you need to make sure you have some energy from the last track. If you don't have enough energy you won't get a 2.0. Start the level by holding backwards and dash towards his tail. Get underneath Gilwing at about the second spike on the bottom of his tail. Go relatively parallel with his tail for a second so the trail will be where you want it. It's pretty forgiving, you don't have to get too-too close. You don't have to touch it. Then just do a loop. That was my strategy and it worked out well.
