Imports are high on shooters and certain arcade ports/ fighters final fight revenge atreet fighter zero 3. One thing that is good now Battle Garegga has come down these past months where it was around 250$. Its now regularly at 150-180$. Recently sold for as low as 140$ which is great 👍. Games you mentioned are all low cost no need to worrie there. If your mainly looking at buying your region go the way you intend. Ebay is a madhouse and sellers on there are well out of there mind. I bought back metal slug recently for 60$ all the buy it nows there asking 90-100$. Which is way to high they don't even include the ram cart or outer box. Unfortunately new comers are willing to pay that much as I do see them selling for that 90$ price.

Started mine as well, though my first purchase was a Phoebe + Saturn plus a hdmi upscaler so I could play in the new age of semi-high def haha. What made you want to collect saturn games? Missed it years back? Are you going for both regions or just 1?

Just got capcom generations 2&3, have all five now, got there in the end. The Saturn version of ghost and goblins is the best port imho, although I like the MS version too. Also upgraded my copy of virtua fighter, mint with spine, obi and flyers. Non Saturn-wise, picked up a copy of Xbox Outrun 2006 -coast to coast, (best driving game ever after sega rally) as well as a gbc adapter for my snes and a repro cart of shantae. Definitely going to be buying more Xbox and gbc stuff before it gets too expensive. I really had to stop myself at that point... Not much value in capcom generations 3. Ghouls n Ghosts grew on me. On the genesis. Uea capcom Generations 2 is the best for those games. Number 4 for mercs 2 is my favorite kinda like metal slug or shock troopers imo.

Picked up this bad boy. I still dislike the name (the NTSC name is way better) but I'm excited to get around to playing this! Know what sucks? I had the U.S version brand new for a very long time. One day I opened ot up and played it. I should have gave it more of a chance before I sold it about a month later. So enjoy it as it's a good zelda type game for the saturn. The japanese version is hard to understand.

Hey there all, it's been awhile. Alot has changed in the 2 or so years since I originally posted this. As you can tell by the quote with numerous strike throughs, that I no longer have this many. Adulting sucks, long story short was really short of cash and water was being shut off and everything you see here plus 95% of all the games I owned were sold. I never realized just how hard it would be to start over, but it does suck. But to answer a question from two years ago Sych, if I had to choose my three favorite consoles out of the list, I would have to go : Super Nintendo, Nintendo Gamecube, and Sega Dreamcast. I know the Saturn doesn't show up on that list, but I didn't get into the Saturn until much later after it met it's ill fate. The SNES mostly due to nostalgic memories of playing it all night with my dad when I had first gotten it. The Gamecube because that was the first system I had bought myself, and Dreamcast because it blew my $%^&ing mind when it came out. Anyways all, sorry I have been gone for so long. But I am back, so I guess this is a re-introduction. Both, I have quite a few systems such as : Atari 2600
Nintendo Entertainment System
Super Nintendo
Nintendo 64 Nintendo Gamecube Nintendo Wii
Sega Genesis
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast Xbox
Xbox 360 Playstation Playstation 2 Playstation 3 Game Boy Game Boy Advance Game Boy Advance SP Sega Game Gear Nintendo DS Nintendo 3DS XL Game.com
and a minimum of 15 games per system, with my Genesis having the most at a total of 59 games. Mind you I am not loaded or anything, I have just literally been collecting all of these systems ever since I could walk. And believe or not every system gets played regularly, unless they're in a state of disrepair such as my Saturn or Dreamcast are right now. Now that I put that into perspective all I can say is damn, I didn't even realize I had that much Adulting sucks but you still have a few there so as long as your satisfied its all that matters. I am experinced in this I had 50 systems untill 2008 those days everything was so cheap up untill that point you could tho. Even got great deals a whole usa vboy set for 150 back in 1999 A deal thst would never come again. Had 2 neogeos 1 modded with bios 2.2 blue led light up 5 arcade Vilgente, dkjr, 1 slot mvs gold cab, popeye and raiden machines. Sold it all off and missed most of it untill I got my snes back my pc engine and such. Then realized I no longer was intrested in these games so I sold them off again. I only keep Saturn these days because arcade games don't grow old or fighting games there about the only things retaining my interest anymore.

Hello Saturn Lovers~ I'm the newest member here on your wonderful forum and I thought it appropriate to swing by and introduce myself. I picked up my first Saturn recently. It was always a piece of gaming history I missed. Now that I live in Japan, the system is cheaply available and games are easy to find too, so I thought I should pick one up. I ended up getting the white model with the circle buttons. Its a little discolored, but works fantastically. The controller feels nice, the buttons feel responsive, and overall I have a very positive impression of it. I usually consider myself more of an SNES era gamer, but the Saturn seems, so far, to be right up my alley. Although I've only played a few games (Orge Battle, Albert Odyssey, Bomberman), I am really enjoying it. The hardest part is finding the time to sit down and enjoy it. Anyway, I look forward to reading the many posts here. Hope to see you in the other posts~ Ayekalooter Welcome. How did you end up living in japan move there? Or work? Also if you like rpgs and action games Saturn has plenty of that. If your looking for platformers tho theres not many like snes is loaded. I myself have been done with snes and genesis now for sometime they get old but love the classics on the systems. Well enjoy!

Lol. Not surprising, really. Everyone and their mother has a retro gaming channel on youtube nowadays. It's tough to get views with all that saturation, so some folks stoop to signing up for related message boards simply to drop a link to their video in the hopes it will generate some views. Is there any need to have another retro gaming channel? What hasn't been done to death at this point? Any jackass with a couple of games and a camera can do this. Fuck I could do it I would want to be different from the rest tho, if it's just like this guy here it's been done before. Gaming on coke. That be it do a couple of lines before the review. Im sure tho atleast one of those other youtubers is doing that in secret.

Kof95 is my most played kof game. They change the way the game plays in 96 but 95 is my favorite kof game and even tho I like street fighter as much kof was my game before street fighter.
I used to be terrible at street fighter coming out of mortal Kombat the way street fighter felt I wasn't used to it. Special moves confused me I was used to back back forward commands and such then when I finally got a Neogeo later on I didn't have a choice but to learn how these games play kof so after playing these for sometime able to go back to street fighter and play it.

Try rush deppy is good id say it's uniqueness is like rayman. It's more traditional you can jump on enemies or ram them. However the gas in the game goes quick in later levels it's hard to keep up.

Astal unfortunately saturn is lacking here. Id honestly say try rush deppy if it wasn't rare and everyone or mostly everyone has played it. Astal is good don't like the throw attack always found it odd. Also silhouette mirage would be a great game but the switching between red and blue I get it but it's more irritating then anything. They should have made it just red or blue or red was a special and blue a standard attack. It's confusing with many enemies on screen and sometimes I forget which is which. They are identified by color but not always.
Or no super tempo is best ashame it's rare.

Yes it is a great shooter not my favorite but some even list it as number 1 for thr saturn shooters.
Had a quick go last night and was really impressed. Great looking game, simple to play and not overly difficult (compared with Battle Garegga, which I played for the first time recently and totally kicked my arse).
I imported Radiant Silvergun when it released and played it to death - will always be a special game to me and hard to beat for my favourite shooter.
I took a year or 2 from playing raident silvergun and im terrible at it now lol. Honestly after playing most of the shooters im done for sometime. Went back to genesis for platformers and beat em ups or arcade games in general. Also it's great to get a cib game cheap most good saturn imports I bought cost 100+. Gens games good ones cost 25-40$ complete now loose alot cheaper but I atleast need the box the manual I can live without, manuals do cost more I think?

Picked up a few more JPN games this week.
Really looking forward to playing Soukyugurentai, heard so many good things and not played it before.
Excited to finally try Policenauts and the Shining Force 3 games with the translation patches, though Policenauts will have to wait until I have a CRT solution for the lightgun sections.
Loved Saturn Bomberman back in the day but never had my own copy. JPN version much cheaper and should be easy enough to navigate? Yes it is a great shooter not my favorite but some even list it as number 1 for thr saturn shooters.
