I don't actually have a Mission Stick for Saturn, but I couldn't help but notice that Sonic 3D Blast, among others, is listed as a compatible game for the Mission Stick. It honestly seems like quite a bizarre choice for a control method for this game, especially considering the 3D Controller that could potentially be compatible with it. I'm wondering if the Mission Stick is actually a good way to control Sonic 3D Blast, if that's a byproduct of having no other analog controller for Saturn at the time, or if a game designer at Traveler's Tales was just high and decided to slap flight stick controls in a Sonic game.

I'd imagine if it works with the mission stick it works with the 3D analog pad. Don't you have a 3D pad to try with?

While I appreciate Sonic 3D's support for the analogue pad, I found it made the controls too slippery. I usually play with the digital pad instead.

I actually did not know Sonic 3D Blast was compatible for the Mission Stick, I will have try it when I get home. Being one of my favorites I figured this is something Id have known.
That being said like Tempest I do prefer the regular directional pad when playing it. However Ive memorized the flow and feel of the game so much the 3D analog is not bad. I have gone through the entire game with it before.
