I want to get the best versions of both games and according to some People on the Internet the Saturn Versions are they best. But on the other Hand some People in the Internet say some different Things.
What is your opinion on that Topic guys? Would you recommend the Saturn Version of These both games or not.
I also own a japanese PS2, so in case the PS1 Version is better I would be able to Play the ps1 versions as well. And for snatcher that there would also be the Option to use the mega CD Version as well.
In case of Snatcher the mega cd Version would be the my best bet, because it is in English in case I find it a very good Price which is not very realistic. the mega cd Version costs quite a lot at the Moment and I do not think that will change.
Would be pleased Hearing some options.
Thanks for the help in advance.

For Policenauts the Saturn version is usually deemed the best as it has the most content, has light gun support for the shooting segments, and looks pretty decent doing so (the FMV quality is slightly worse than the PS version , but the FMVs run at a higher frame rate)
Snatcher on the other hand, is seen as inferior on Saturn/PS1 due to Konami changing the art style and music , and most people seem to dislike the newer style (as opposed to the PCE/MCD version) , also the 32 bit versions have some censoring going on , not to mention they are Japanese only.

Thanks for the information darkman. Then I will try to get mega cd version of Snatcher although it won't be easy to find it at a good price. The mega cd version also has the advantage that it is avaiable in English.Unlike the other early versions of Snatcher that are only available in Japanese.
And for policenauts I will try to get the saturn version. This Version is in Japanese too but i Have already seen some nice online guides so it won't be impossible to complete it.

Both the Saturn and PS1 versions have an English translation patch you can use.

I would go for the megacd version first. Downside: the orginal copies are a bit pricy indeed There are ROMS out there if you're just in in for one run.

A bit pricy is an understatement. I rarely see American versions but it amazes me the PAL release goes for £300 in some cases.

US version has been in the 400-660 USD range for what seems like forever. Ive owned a couple copies but end up trading them off for Saturn stuff. Policenauts Saturn is always a frustrating one because it was slated for a US release but was cancelled for such a silly reason (Kojima stated they had trouble syncing the dubbed voices with the characters mouths) Otherwise it had box art and was advertised in US Saturn pamphlets we would get with games early on. I guess at least we have it now. This was the box art that we saw over here, not very good at all, hopefully it would have been changed but some of the early US Saturn games had some bad art like this lol upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fd/US_Policenauts_cover.jpg

I did not know that there was almost a US Version of Policenaughts. Too bad it got cancelled. Policenaughts seems to be a awesome game, it would really enrich the NTSC U library of Saturn games.
And although I am tempted to get MEGA CD version of Snatcher it way too expensiv for me. So I will get a more modern version of that game too.

Yep I'm 100% for that last idea exposed by darkman01,.. Policenauts nowadays got a cult status etc but I doubt that back in the day sales would have been high for such a game like that...specially in the US

If you can't read japanese, playing the japanese releases won't be much fun. Use the fan translation of policenauts and obtain the mega cd release of snatcher. Both are great games!

That is a great advice. Already got he patched version for Policenauts and is ideed a great game. Have not finished it though. I am stuck at the bomb Segment at the Moment but i am not giving up.
As I have mentioned earlier I would be also tempted to get the Mega CD Version of Snatcher but as for now they are quite expensive. But in case I should get a chance to buy it a good Price I would take the chance asap.
Got Mega Drive and a mega cd last month and I like both quite well. Even the Mega CD is not as bad as some people might say. The Mega cd version of Terminator is really cool. Lukily I could borrow this game from a Buddy so I did not had to buy it.
Sonic CD is also quite nice.
