I've seen 3 different fixes for this fault: A full recap, an additional cap added or the TOP102YAI replaced with an TOP224YN. Just wondering which to try, as doing a full recap seems pointless if there's no reason to.

Full recap on PSU doesn't help with this problem. An additional filtering step is required, hence the additional cap. Or using the TOP224YN. Here's the image.

I haven't personally repaired JP PSUs, but I was told before once that replacing the TOP chip on them helped. The TOP224YN works for both 220V and 110V input, so you can use those as a replacement.
