Did a bit more digging and it looks like you'd have to pay an additional £55 at post office to cover the import duties. Isn't that also true for the MODE?

I believe that's made in Andorra. So these charges wouldn't apply.

Andorra isn't part of the UK either, so yes those same charges would apply.
Nor is it part of the EU, of course, so EU buyers would pay import tax on it too.

eh? The limit for paying taxes in the UK was something like 21 pounds before, now it's 0. You're confusing VAT and duty possibly. Handling fees will apply regardless.

I haven't posted here in a few years but I still lurk every now and then. I haven't been gaming much other than with the newer mini consoles. However, the Satiator intrigued me due to my lack of soldering and electronics experience. I wound up ordering one and got games working last night. I am thrilled with it.

I recently got a satiator, and used it to play Shining Force 3, and just got Sakura Wars in, so looking forward to that It works well, but I couldn’t get it to behave with my AR Plus, so I just use the sd copy program. What games have people tried out, with it?

The Satiator looks really intriguing. I thought I'd ordered one, but my order never went through it seems. Guess I'll have to wait for the next batch.

So, my Satiator finally arrived a few weeks ago and it is awesome. It runs everything I've thrown at it so far, which is a large number of games, except the Heart of Darkness demo.
It's great to be able to play games like Castlevania Symphony of the Night in English and without the slowdown. What a brilliant game.

Without slowdown? Does Satiator do something for that? I thought it was just a drive emulator...?

He's referring to the 4mb Ram Cart version of the game. Frankly, I haven't seen a great deal of difference when it comes to lag.

The 4mb version doesn't eliminate lag, it just somewhat lowers load times by preloading a lot of things. The English patch may do more but I didn't follow it much, it's only really needed for the items and I can read most of those (plus gamefaqs has a guide for the entire Japanese weapon list).

Got mine today. Seems to work without a hitch.
EDIT: The only downside is that you need to power on the system each time if you want to swap discs, and obviously you won't be able to use VCD card. Meaning you won't be able to play Lunar Silver Star.
