Got a nice little stack of games off a collector recently. All of these I did not have yet in the collection Mass Destruction is one going all the way back to 1997 that I wanted to own, so that is a fun one. Also a Complete Xmen vs SF finally. What I actually love about it is that it still has the EB Games sticker on the front. As a North American Saturn collector this is cool to me since this was the one import release that was treated like a NA release as it was sold in major game stores that otherwise never sold imports. Almost an honorary part of the US library in a sense.

Great find ctec !
Now the Special mode in Batsugun one is really fun to play and kind of easy to progress into. The 1CC is definitely doable within some 10ish hours of play (if you count as 1CC clearing the 1st loop)
The regular version, though, is way harder : larger hitbox, more and faster bullets. I guess the Special version is among the first manic shooter ever, while the regular still belongs to oldschool shooters.
In any case, have fun and report your 1CC when achieved !

Oh Derek, now I envy you to live in the US ! I could gather the whole Working Designs set, and other RPG/Shooters, but man that was hell.
The X-Men vs SF looks indeed nice, though I'm seeking in standalone version, which is way rarer and expensive for some reason I do not understand yet.
Oh, and which version of Bubble Bobble is this ? The JP library has 3 of them : Puzzle Bobble 2x, Puzzle Bobble 3, Bubble Symphony.

I have marvel vs game with the ram pack, I have a couple of action replay carts so really don't want to shell out for another ram pack. I did buy a stand alone version for £15, but it never arrived and I got a refund

Since Action Replays popularity the demand for games packaged with ram carts is less so. X-Men vs SF was packaged mainly with the 4MB. Only very few versions were released without Ram so it's rarer. Plus standalone versions means you get the pull out spine cards, back cover artwork and the English translation of the game name on the front spine which is a feature you never get with RAM packaged games hence why everyone wants the standalone version

Good points Sych. Though XMen Vs Street seems like an exception where the standalone is way rarer and more expensive than the pack. Usually, it seems to be equal values, or the other way around : - Marvel Vs Street Pack = Marvel Vs Street Standalone - D&D Collection Pack > D&D Standalone - Groove on Fight Pack = Groove on Fight - Metal Slug Pack > Metal Slug Standalone

Before X-Men vs SF, 4MB Ram carts didn't exist, it was just SNK'S 1MB.

Oh Derek, now I envy you to live in the US ! I could gather the whole Working Designs set, and other RPG/Shooters Yes certainly nice having companies like Working Designs over here back in the day and some other companies that took chances on games for us. Its too bad WD didn't get to release all the stuff they wanted to or the US Saturn library would have had a few more gems. Capcom is another company that tossed us a couple more Saturn titles (MM8, MMx4). I also feel like they were partially responsible for Xmen vs SF getting an unofficial release in US stores. As for shooters yeah we did get quite a few released here, the Saturn didn't (again WD tried to release a few). I think the Dreamcast had 2-3 more shooters in the US than the PAL set but not 100% sure. I know Giga Wing 2 and maybe Mars Matrix? As for Bubble Bobble, im not even 100% sure. Its Bubble Bobble featuring Rainbow Islands. So its one of those sequels. Its also gone up quite a bit in price these days.

Picked up a bunch of Saturn titles to see me through the early part of 2018.
Grabbed:
Titan Wars Dark Savior Hexen Baroque Courier Crisis Skeleton Warriors
Also looking out for an affordable D and then I´ll leave it at that until at least Easter, perhaps Summer, I reckon!

For various reasons, i had to sell half of my collection and all the heavy hitters besides PDZ, but Dark Savior is one of those games i can't simply part ways with. I only played it once but it's definetely one of those games that will require you to get back at it if you want to get the most out of it. If you haven't played it already i would recommend you start that whole bundle by Dark Savior. It's worth it ; )

That is actually a game I´ve been unsure about for a long while about whether I´ll like it or not, but I decided to bite the bullet and grab it since it seems to be going up in price. I found a copy on milanuncios for a fair price so jumped at it. I´ll let you now what I think!
I´ve not actually played any of those 6 games before (not even Hexen!) so I´m quite excited about trying them all out for the first time over the coming months. Since Dark Savior has multiple paths, I may well start with that and then do the other paths at a later time.

First new Saturn game of the new year and one I've wanted to own since playing the demo on the Flash, I think that disc was bundled with the Saturn I got as a kid. What is it?
