Ordered Herc's Adventures and Loaded today, $43 for the pair of them. Even if they're disc only that's a great price for HA so I won't complain - especially seeing as I used trade credit for both.

What's the difference between Wipeout and Wipeout XL? Wipeout XL AKA wipeout 2097 is wipeout 2, basically it is smoother and has better graphics... the Saturn handles this PS1 port better than the original wipeout game, due to the saturns hardware being better understood. The Saturn version runs at 20fps, slower than the PS1's 30fps, but seems slightly faster for some reason. I played the PS1 versions before I played the Saturn versions, and while wipeout is the better game on PS1, wipeout XL on Saturn comes out on top because its cleaner, brighter , has noticeably less dither and a better draw distance. It's a great game and plays brilliantly... Reccommended

Ah ok. I see. I thought it was an updated version like what happened with Virtua Fighter, Daytona, etc

Just received that XMen Vs Street standalone version mentionned in another thread. Now I have the full "Vs Fighting" set from Capcom, but miss spines for Marvel games and Capcom Generations 5.
I must say that Airmail from Japan was the best thing invented ever : cheap, takes less than 10 days to come to Europe, never had a problem nor custom taxes. And it is funny how it all comes in the same plane carrier : I did three orders at different days last week, and they all came today, Christmas day for me, list : - X Men Vs Street - Hyper Duel (was missing the spine for this one) - Asuka 120% - Advanced V.G. - Waku Waku 7 - Fighter's History Dynamite - Pocket Fighters - Cyberbots

Picked up SOTN for 85 euros including delivery (75 quid, I think?). Quite happy with that price, and hopefully it should arrive soon. Also picked up a copy of D for 40 euros (35 quid?) in spotless condition.
And there´s me saying I wouldnt buy anything after Saga!

Haha, some more! Columns Arcade Collection for 10€, and I got Capcom Generations 2 and DoA from Steve for 40€ total.
That´s me done for the Saturn this year, I think. I´ll get Sexy Parodius, Quake and Sonic R as birthday presents and then I have a pretty mega collection.
I need to do an update of my collection (3 years on). Will probably wait until they arrive first!

If I had a penny every time some one said that, I would have over £10, easy. there's always another game, then a couple more. I keep thinking I'm finished as well.

After a long while, I finally got around to resetting my password, and I'm back, haha! I've got two Pro-Boards accounts, since both were from before they melded it all into one, so I've had to resort to using another browser to get in here Anyways, decided in the last few months that I'm definitely going to go for a full Saturn racing set - at least one copy of each game, regardless of region. So recently, I picked up a few games I haven't got yet: My Racing collection so far, with a few new additions on top: Code R, Hang On GP 95, Impact Racing and Virtual Kyoutei. Code-R is awesome, but the language barrier is fairly dense. I've managed to fluke my way through the Story Mode so far and race a little bit, but it's tough going. I'm very thankful that there is a Time Trial option on the main menu, with a tonne of selectable cars and courses to try. The controls are pretty quirky too - it's definitely a b-grade 32-bit arcade racer, but that's what I love about it. The cars are weighty, the drifting feels nice and it runs really smoothly. Great game, but yeah, not knowing any Japanese makes this a tough one to crack. I'll get there though! Hang On GP 95 is alright, I guess. Plays terribly with either d-pad or the 3D controller, but I've heard that it improves significantly with a Mission Stick. I still haven't got around to nabbing one yet, but 2018 is the year I'll call a mission stick my own. I have tried the game in SSF with my controller mapped as a Mission Stick, and even there, it is a darn sight more playable, so I can only imagine how much better it will be with the right control set-up on real hardware. Impact Racing is one of those games that I've always been curious about, but never really wanted. The shooting action was initially a turn-off, but in recent months, I've been watching a lot of gameplay footage, and I found the game's solid technical performance intriguing. I finally bit the bullet and ordered it, and maaaaaannnnnnnnn, I'm glad I did - I'm in love! The controls are fantastic, which I wasn't expecting. The cars are a joy to drive, with almost Wangan Dead Heat/Ridge Racer-style drifting mechanics. And though the focus is most definitely on the blasting action, it's satisfying straight out of the gate. It's very much Road Blasters through a heavy late 90's filter, and I can't get enough of it. Playing it for the first time in 2018, with zero expectations, Impact Racing is very much pick-up-and-play, but there's a depth here that is welcome. I think it stands out in the Saturn library more in the present day than it ever would have back on release. Virtual Kyoutei is a strange boating game that I'm struggling to make heads and tails of. I'll admit, I bought this for completion sake, rather than the game looking to offer anything of substance. Again, the language barrier is very high with this one, and although I can get out on the water and move around, I've got no idea what I'm doing. Still, I'm glad to have it, and I'll pick it up again once I'm done with the games I'm really into at the moment. This week, I also received Choro Q Park:
The heavy emphasis on Japanese in Choro Q Park was indeed a big hurdle, but thanks to Google Translate on my phone, I managed to get into a race. Which I promptly lost because I couldn't figure out how the game worked. My Choro Q would go fast for a while, but then it would slow to a crawl. It turns out you have to use multiple Choro Q in each race. Each track has a change marker, and you place your Choro Q at each of these points before a race. Some Choro Q can go for ages before they wind down and become slower, whilst others are absolute guns, but lack in other areas. Since these marker point on the map can be different distances apart, you'll have to place the right Choro Q at the right marker to get to the change point without slowing down. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this kind of depth in the game, but now that I know that it's there, it has it's hooks in deep, and I can't stop playing. I'll write an import guide for this once I've sussed out the game 100%, but until then, I've worked out enough of the game to know what I'm doing. The A/V presentation is fantastic, the controls are sublime with the 3D controller and the courses are fun to drive on. I'm so happy to have Choro Q Park in my collection now. It's an instant favourite of mine
