That racing collection is interesting. Have not seen one of those before. Bet you've found some worthwhile oddities along the way. I enjoyed your handful of mini reviews. I doubt Delisoba Deluxe will get ticked off though... Who'd invest £1000+ in a single CD?
I'd have gone for PS1 if I wanted a big racing collection. Incredible choice of racers on that console.

Nice read about racing games here, thank you Belmont. I've also made a list of racing games I'd like to get, selection of : - Classics/Arcade (Rally, Wipeout ...) - Fun/kart (Choro Q, Street Racer) - Not like the others (Scorcher, Off World...) - Playable even with language barrier. My list is below, if you see missing titles, let me know : Choro Q Park Crimewave Daytona USA CE Death Throttle Destruction Derby Gran Chaser Impact Racing ManxTT Off-World Interceptor Extreme Outrun Power Drift Road Rash Scorcher Sega Rally Championship Sega Rally Plus Sega Rally Plus Satakore Sega Touring Car Street Racer Extra Taito Chase H.Q. Touge King the Spirit Touge King the Spirit 2 Virtua Racing Wipeout Wipeout XL Very nice! Yeah, I really love the Saturn for racing games, this is my list of games so far, and what I've still got left to collect. A couple of them at least will cost me a fortune, so I'm saving them till last, haha! [ ] Andretti Racing [x] Choro Q Park [x] Code R [ ] Courier Crisis [ ] Crimewave [x] Cyber Speedway/Gran Chaser [x] Daytona USA [x] Daytona USA Circuit Edition [x] Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition [ ] Death Throttle [ ] Delisoba Deluxe [x] Destruction Derby [x] Die Hard Trilogy (For the Die Hard With A Vengeance segment) [x] Formula Karts Special Edition [x] F1 Challenge/F1 Live Information [ ] Fully Cowled Mini Yonku Super Factory [x] Gale Racer [x] Gran Chaser [x] GT 24 [x] Hang-On GP [x] Hardcore 4x4/Deka Yonku ~Tough The Truck~ [x] Hi-Octane [x] Impact Racing [x] Initial D: Koudou Saisoku Densetsu [x] Manx TT Super Bike [x] Nascar 98 [ ] Nissan Presents Over Drivin' GT-R [ ] Off-World Interceptor Extreme [ ] Race Drivin' [x] Road & Track Presents The Need for Speed [x] Road Rash [x] Scorcher [x] Sega Ages Compilation [ ] Sega Ages OutRun [ ] Sega Ages Power Drift [x] Sega Rally Championship [x] Sega Rally Championship Plus [x] Sega Touring Car Championship [x] Shutokou Battle '97: Tsuchiya Keiichi & Bandou Masaaki [x] Sonic R [x] Street Racer [ ] Tactics Formula [ ] Taito Chase H.Q. Snowboarding Trix [ ] Zap! Snowboarding Trix '98 [ ] Zero4 Champ DooZy-J Type-R If I've missed any, let me know too! I'm well on my way to having a complete collection, but yeah, still a fair bunch to get! Great collection. I love 32-bit racers because of the focus on arcade racing mechanics rather than post-GT realism. Saturn has some great racers. Enjoy

Found these two games at a collector's fair yesterday for $35 each, which is a steal, since Lost Vikings goes for double that on eBay. Clockwork Knight was priced about average. Both are in mint condition too. I had forgotten how much I love Lost Vikings 2. Sure, it looks like a Mega Drive game, but the characters have a great sense of humour and the puzzle-based gameplay is really clever. Glad to have this back in my collection. Clockwork Knight is a fun, charming game, even if it feels very average these days. Another title I'm glad to have again. There were a bunch of other games I really wanted too, like Torico and Touring Car, but it was missing the manual and the disc holder was broken, respectively.

what do you like so much about saturn racing games other than the arcade ones? That racing collection is interesting. Have not seen one of those before. Bet you've found some worthwhile oddities along the way. I enjoyed your handful of mini reviews. I doubt Delisoba Deluxe will get ticked off though... Who'd invest £1000+ in a single CD? I'd have gone for PS1 if I wanted a big racing collection. Incredible choice of racers on that console. I like 32-bit arcade racers in general. I'm going complete on the Saturn because it's doable, and after that I'll be going for a racing collection on the N64 and PSX. The PSX has far more, indeed, but the Saturn just happens to be first because it's my favourite console, and I'm not limited by region like I am with the PSX at the moment. With Delisoba Deluxe, yeah, I don't think it's likely I'll get that one at its current price, but who knows. I might find some weird listing for cheap, or maybe the Saturn will end up completely cracked in the next few years, and I can plump for a future repro or equivalent. I'd be happy with that. And yeah, absolutely - I've found some really neat obscure stuff whilst on the hunt for more! Great collection. I love 32-bit racers because of the focus on arcade racing mechanics rather than post-GT realism. Saturn has some great racers. Enjoy Precisely why I love 32-bit racing games. The mechanics are just plain fun - realism ruins everything, haha. And thanks!

I won a competition! Got a physical copy of Resident Evil Revelations for the Switch! Shame I have the first digitally on Switch anyway and the second sucks. Still, sold it for 40€ and with the money I picked up a handful of Japanese games:
Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 2 Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 3 Virtua Cop Daytona USA Circuit Edition Steep Slope Sliders Vampire Savior
Not a bad haul, for basically nothing!

I'm seeking the regular jewel case version, and apart from Side Story I, they seem to be pretty rare.

Who says there are no deals out there anymore? You just have to be quick. Found this on Ebay A us for $50Aud! What a bargain! I really did get I incredibly lucky, had I not searched for Saturn games at that exact moment someone else would of picked it up for sure. Had a play through last night, what a game. Graphics, gameplay, sound all spot on. Just so enjoyable. Only thing that would make it perfect would be English text but oh well, you can still piece together the endings from simply watching.

Awesome bargain. I'm pretty sure Capcom's late Japanese Saturn games had an option to unlock an English language option hidden away somewhere on the menus. X-Men vs Street Fighter did at least. Perhaps you have to unlock it.

From everything I've read only Vampire Savior has that option. Weird they only put it in one game. I also picked up Real Bout Fatal Fury and Special Fatal Fury which have a English option in the menu. Why didn't you do this Capcom!!!

I'm certain I played it in English on my Japanese Saturn. There was a cheat code or hidden menu that allowed you to do it. SSM printed it in one of their issues. I can't find anything online from a quick search though so maybe I'm misremembering.

Awesome bargain. I just did an eBay search for this. You really did get a bargain for it. As late as 2016 or 2017, SFZ3 was still about $60 or $70. Now it's 7-10 times that much. Saturn prices, and retro game prices in general, are seriously getting ridiculous. Will they ever level off?

Saturn prices, and retro game prices in general, are seriously getting ridiculous. Will they ever level off? To some extent they might, a component of game prices rising are things like nostalgia (for some people certainly more than others), and its a generational thing, a couple of years ago PS2/Xbox/GC games were dirt cheap but the prices are slowly rising because people who started gaming around that time are now adults with money to spare. Conversely Atari 2600 is not as expensive as alot of others despite being very old , primarily because the people who first played it are now in their late 40s or into their 50s, so the nostalgia phase is mostly gone, and we are left with more hardcore retro players and the occasional collector. Might happen with the Saturn some day too, though of course some games will always be expensive.
