www.retrorgb.com/satiator-price-availability-revealed.htmlat $260 though and milking Patreon contributors for years, it's a no go for me. Even being a plug and play ODE that attaches to the VCD slot in the back. I already have a Phoebe as well but always good to see more options I suppose. Though if I were int he market now I'd opt for a MODE just because they are readily available and have wide format support / support with all models. Fenrir aint too shabby either if you have a supported Saturn

I ordered a Fenrir, I have a few saturns that its compatible with. I really was hoping he could make and sell them sub 200.

Got my invite today and placed my order, I'll let folks know what I think of it when it arrives.
For Europeans it's a very expensive proposition, He only takes PayPal (which gives you a lousy conversion rate) and then shipping is another 47 dollars or so. Then on top of that you're going to have to add import taxes and handling fees.
Still having been involved in these kinds of projects I know all too well how these costs can spiral out of control and I still believe this is a great project worth peoples support.

So it's effectively going to cost £300 which is extortionate for what it is, and that's without knowing whether it will work without any hitches.

I do agree about the price but not so fair to say about compatibility. Beta units were sent out ~6 months ago and most said it worked perfectly with the exception with a few games. Has there been any confirmation of MPEG emulation with the Satiator?

It's been confirmed as impossible unfortunately.
Multi-discs are fully supported, you toggle the drive lid to trigger a swap.

Well thanks for taking the dive, and can respect the dedication to wanting to see it through It doesn't look like a bad option, at all, but my $100 net Phoebe is feeling better than ever haha. I did well getting a premod tho, and sold my Phantom Saturn for a good amount of that too. That + clone gdemu run about half the cost of one of these and is something I have had for coming up on a year now. Granted clone value and second hand cant be compared, but still.. assuming you could order both from Deunan you could get both for about the same price as Satiator.

I received my MODE last week and I've been playing about with 200+ titles on a combination of micro sd and USB stick.
I had been following the progress of the Satiator since I first heard of it, but had given up hope of it coming out anytime soon. I'm glad it's out now. I got a £50 import charge slapped on the mode from DHL, so it was no cheap option either. 200 for the hardware, 18 shipping and 50 import duty.
Still, after the firmware update, its played every game I've tried.
If the Satiator had been launched 2 weeks earlier, I'd have went with that.

I find the timing of Satiator release to be ... suspicious shall we see. I think Professor Abrasive felt the heat from MODE competition

Apparently they left Spain because of high taxes, but they didn't take the VAT off their prices once they moved, so now everyone in the EU pays more for their stuff.
Of course you're gonna have to pay import taxes on the Satiator too should you have gone down that route (and everything from next year until Scotland inevitably gets independence and rejoins the EU lol).
