Figured this might be the right forum to post this up. @hexfreq and I got the 3D controller completely wireless, battery powered, and working over Bluetooth with Analog and Digital modes to PC. It's also completely solderless (at least to use on the pad) and clicks into the existing controller disconnect as sega patents intended. You can see a video of Digital mode on my Twitter here: Oversimplification - it's using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on a lipo powered ESP32 to pull it off Once I polish up the code a bit I'll drop it, the PCB, and 3D printed case to recreate. As of this moment *I* have no plans to sell them, but Hex may consider it in the future once we get some things buttoned down. Not dead set on the case yet but it will likely look something like this:

That is awesome. Do you think it will be possible to get working on console? I have been hoping that Retro-Bit offer a wireless 3D pad or at least a dongle, like what you have created.

That is awesome. Do you think it will be possible to get working on console? Yes! I'm working on that as 2nd phase. The controller protocol timing is pretty finicky so first step was to isolate the controller and get it working on battery power and transmitting successfully.
