a high end SCART to HDMI converter- do they exist?

hi everyone, i havent been on for a while as i swapped to a gaming laptop from my old linux laptop and completely forgot about the forum.

im having a lot of issues with my rubbish SCART to HDMI converter,i didnt realise that the converter was absolute trash until i had bougt it-things like that dont come to my head very quickly  (i have mild intellectual disability,non verbal classic autism and a lot of memory damage from my epilepsy).

my support staff had to put it together for me as it was very difficult to connect-the metal bits were very flimsy and she ended up selotaping it all in place but the SLIGHTEST bit of movement to the selotape knocks it off place and stops the saturn from running the games.

im in Manchester in the UK,and have a J-NTSC saturn that has been region free chipped and PHANTOM chipped,i have a saturn games collection (re)building up and woud love it if someone knows of a decent converter-cost doesnt matter to a level,if anyone knows how i can get my saturn up and running again i woud be extremely apreciative.

if anyone knows of a better way to connect the saturn to a modern tv (a 55 inch samsung smart tv),please can someone tell me? i can physicaly point it out to a specific support staff next time hes on as he is very clever about this stuff,and hopefuly if there was a workable way other than SCART to HDMI he coud set it up for me with any help given, cheers thanks very much.

Most of the SCART to HDMI converters you find on Amazon and the like are designed for video, not videogames, and don't even handle the Saturn's 240p signal correctly. You get a ton of input lag and artefacts in the image.

Luckily there ARE scalers designed for old consoles. Compared to a few years ago there are now some excellent choices, there are several I could recommend here...

Budget end - RetroTINK SCART - Great results plug and play.

Mid range - OSSC Classic - Excellent results on most games, a few titles with specific screen resolution changes like Die Hard Arcade are still problematic

Higher end - RetroTINK 5x - Next generation scaler/processor that scales as well or better than OSSC Classic and handles difficult games like the aforementioned Die Hard Arcade.

Deluxe - OSSC Pro - Still in development but will have every scaling feature you could dream of and then some.

The first two are available on my store, the 5x has only just come out and I've not been able to get stock as of yet. The OSSC Pro is still in development. I won't link in case people think I'm spamming but it's in my signature.

Also, you will need to make sure you have a fully wired RGB SCART cable, a SCART cable that just carries composite video won't do, so make sure you buy a SCART cable from a reputable reseller.
