Long story short; I never modded a Saturn before, I just upgraded with the FRAM mod and put in a region free BIOS and a Phantom, all work as should.
In fact I didn't own a Saturn until 2 weeks ago.
I went to do the 50/60 switchless mod -which if I read correctly does region as well so with that BIOS I don't see the need for the jumper/JP because it's covered.
I don't know, I'm tired, been at this since yesterday and it's 7AM here now. I'm also probably going to get mixed up because of the amount of guides I have read.
But essentially shouldn't I have to join the Hz leg of a PIC chip with Seb's code to pin 79, wire the LED, wire the chip supply and just forgo the three jumper wires? I take it they are region select, but that's a guess. It was a conclusion earlier, but after many hours it's now a guess, lol.
Is there a need for having the region selected when you have the worldwide BIOS?

No, with the region free BIOS you only need the 50/60hz switch (if you even care about the handful of PAL exclusives).

That's exactly what I am talking about.
I don't see the need for the jumper/JP and forgo the 3 wires for region.
I thought the leg 79 was the Hz switch and wire only that.
I don't suppose you know which pad(s) to use to wire the Hz leg (and whatever else) to in SW4?

I think it should be the Hz to the middle of the 3 grouped together pads, first looks like +5v, second goes to the video chip and third is ground.
So with a switched mod you put that between 1 and 2 which is +5 and the chip. So must be when the chip detects 5v it goes to 60Hz.
But I just woke up, so ...

Zyrobs would be the one to ask though he's not been seen in a few weeks.
