Anyone used the Saroo Cartridge? If so is it any good? I've read good feedback, and that's almost 100 percent compatible with games, it also has 4meg ram built in.

As far as I know they are still ironing out some kinks, but it’s looking like they are on top of updates. As a low cost alternative to fenrir and the satiator it seems a no brainer. I won’t be using any of them, don’t need to, as I own all the games I like playing, and enjoy that experience. For people who came late to the console, and the skyrocketing prices, best thing ever I’m thinking. Go for it, there’s a couple on eBay, and Aliexpress is full of them.

I got an all in one pseudo saturn kai from Aliexpress for a good price. I also have most of the games i want purchased before the insane prices but i got one to play things like the Shining force translations, dragon force 2, fighting force demo and homebrew stuff like unreal demo etc I also fancied playing courier crisis and got a bootleg due to original copies costing about 300 quid

You can have the full library on it, a satiator but a fifth of the price, it’s mad to think that we have come this far.

Sorry did not realise it was a flash cart with the capacity for the whole library , thats pretty mental and sounds like a bargain for £100 ! as you say its amazing what is possible and available now. I thought burning discs of games and homebrews and playing them with a kai was pretty cool but to have all that at your fingertips is pretty mind blowing I kinda wish i dident have such a collector/nostalgic mentality because could make a fortune selling off my collection and buying one of those, but there is something special about having an original copy of something to look at and play , i couldn't bring myself to part with them

Same here mate, will never part with my collection. I have everdrives for all my consoles, but I have smaller collections on those consoles. Saturn is my main console I collected for, so don’t need a flash cart. If I was to get one, I’d get a satiator, as they are kinda collectibles in their own right.

Then out of nowhere it popped up a few months back. It’s not surprising people don’t know about it.

The solid state device vs original cart or disc decision is very much a thing now.
I got an Everdrive for my Megadrive and it's made me look at my MD cart collection in a different way. It's a far superior option to emulation which has been around for ages and really does create a bit of a dilemma because it makes you think about why you are game collecting.
It's a much more compelling argument with disc based systems because of the moving parts.

Since owning everdrives, I just ended up focusing on the games I feel I must have, that definitely get played and I love, versus collecting for collectings sake. It’s other factors that influence my collecting, random interest in IP’s. for example I’m considering buying JP outrun on mega drive because I like outrun. It’s not an outstanding port, the pce trumps it, and the Saturn is obvs the best., buying to collect, not play. it’s shot up, but it can be had for £50.

I've started curating my collection. I don't collect for its own sake - I collect what I will play. So I don't see me going all-in on ROMs and solid state devices but my physical collection might get some more pruning. Not entirely sure yet.

Do these allow Japanese games to be played on a PAL console?
