Not sure where the right place to post this is... but here we go! Someone took the casing of the Saturn, and did a WONDERFUL job cramming a full PC in it. It even keeps the original disc drive setup intact and a memory card was turned into a USB flash drive that plugs into the original cartridge port. Even the mouse uses the Saturn mouse's chassis! akiba.kakaku.com/en/pc/0810/15/124501.phpblog.tsukumo.co.jp/honten/2008/10/atom_pc.htmlWhile yeah, throwing a PC in a system could be easy, I think this job is a noteworthy one!

Haha, that actually looks really cool, I wonder how well it works.

Intel Atom, so better than a Pentium 4 providing the video card is right. Though on a small-form factor board like that you'll only be able to get integrated crap so I wouldn't be surprised if that thing's equipped with an Intel GMA 950 graphics chip which can't do anything above DirectX 9.
It's be a great emulator system though!

...I doubt it would be able to emulate a Saturn though, kind of ironic really :/

I thought the same. Haha! Yea.
Now the really impressive feat would be having BOTH a Saturn AND a PC in a case!

It might be possible if a Pico ITX board was used, those can fit in a gameboy.

Hmm... interesting...
Anyone up to the challenge? I think it would be even more impressive to just have the output to video for both the Pico ITX AND the Saturn, with a switch to switch between the two.

No, too expensive, I'd rather just build a regular Pico/Nano/Micro ITX system.

Just sell your Battle Garegga and you should have enough money to build two!!

I'd need a couple of copies of Radiant Silvergun to get enough cash for a Pico ITX build.

...ya know... it's sad that that's probably true.
It's kinda pathetic when old software is worth more than new hardware that could play the old software...

It's when you've got albums in your collection that would allow you to buy a decent hifi system that you should be worried, apparently a couple of the albums I own are worth a minimum of £250 each! In comparison RS is a bit of a bargain.

The ECX800 SBC is pretty good for sticking into various shells. It has the form factor of a 3.5" drive, but is chock full of goodies. I've got one stuck in an A1200 case that I run OSX on. It's virtually identical to the original Intel Mac-Mini.

Hey dude, thanks for the heads up on that motherboard! That thing's so small it's friggin' SWEET! Even seems to have some nice power to it. I might even look into getting one if they're cheap enough. EDIT: Can't find the price anywhere!
