It's had some sort of soft drink spilled all over it so all the dust has stuck to it and the inside is all corroded, also the stick part itself is cracked and looks like it would break if I tried to play anything with it, one for my spares box sadly.

D'oh! I was going to suggest using the board to fit on some sanwa buttons and a new stick but if it's on the circuit board, that's no good. :/

Thats awesome, I don't have a cross dev console, only a couple of PsyQs.
Incidentally the extra side vent is present on a lot of grey jap model 1's not just the dev systems, I'm not actually sure weather this was added to the later grey consoles or something they dropped from the early ones...

Hey dude! With that multi region switch, can you do us all a favour and see what all the settings do?
We're looking for a setting that allows both Japanese and US or European games. Could you help us solve this mystery? It'll finally put an end to altering the outside of our systems with switches!

I stop following Saturn sales on eBay religiously and see what I miss  Kidding, excellent find!!! I have a couple of development systems but not that style of Cross products. |

bad voltage somewhere, try looking at the ribbon cables (all of them) and all the connections from the different boards.

hey wasn't the cicrular cut holes on the jap/dev consoles originally for a fan? I can't remember where i read it, but I believe they planned for it but took it out last minute as the console rarely reached the excessive heat needed for a fan, plus to cut cost. just a random thought.... hey heres a disc gear that i use to store all my back ups...nothing crazy, but awesome none the less Attachments:
