Open it up and take a look. If the buttons use quick-connects, modding it will take about 5 seconds per button. But if their soldered, then it's a bit harder.

I think with this stick though they are notorious for being soldered in, but I could be wrong.

I really want to change the buttons on my Neo Fighting Stick II, but I don't have the tools. And I'd rather just buy a better stick then buy the tools at this point.

Are the buttons that bad really? I was always told the Japanese white Virtua Stick was pretty good.

The stick itself is quite good. The buttons do feel cheap though. It's a lot better then your average home console stick, but why settle for less then the real deal?

Well to be honest I was never good with Arcade sticks to begin with. I just stick to pads.

Superdeadite got me into arcade stuff hardcorely lately (thanks to Neo Geo talk ) and I've actually been considering ordering parts to make crap like this. (after I build my supergun which I've already ordered everything for) If I ever do make any good arcade sticks, I'll let you guys know.

Sounds like an awesome mod, are you going to match up the colours to the originals?

Sounds like an awesome mod, are you going to match up the colours to the originals? I'm going to spray the plastic shell glossy black, and going to have all yellow buttons and yellow ball top for the stick.
