I did this mod a little while ago and figured I'd post it on here. Basically I had a spare set of pedals from a PS2 steering wheel and decided to hook them up to the shoulder buttons on the Saturn controller for use with games that took advantage of those buttons like FPS's racing games, etc. It was pretty much a 20 minute job as I had to rewire the insides of the pedals but it works perfectly. It's actually pretty pointless for standard FPS games like Doom, Quake and others but I found myself playing certain games much better because of it. Games like Hang On GP work really well as you can lean the bike left and right. It works really well when strafing on AMOK and is awesome for the air brakes on Wipeout. Like I said, most games won't benefit from it but it feels really intuitive on the games listed above and a few others and feels more natural than using the shoulder buttons. Here's a pic of the mod. I will eventually tidy it up a bit.

Nice!, My one complaint with the Saturn Racing Wheel is the lack of pedals. If you did the same mod, but used the wheel, this problem would finally be fixed.

Thanks. I will have to look in to that. I guess with a general knowledge of electrics and some decent ideas you can do pretty much anything with the controllers. The only thing I'm lacking is cash to invest in decent tools and parts. All my mods are done by cannibalising spare parts
