Hey, thanks for the reply My dad tested the power lead coming out of the transformer and it's reading at 120v so I guess the problem must be internal. Seems weird though because the saturn was all lovingly packaged like it'd been looked after and all the games it came with are near mint. Do you know how hard it is to replace an internal fuse, or are they expensive? Looks like I have some surgery to perform

If the Japanese plugs are like the American ones I have sometimes had mine not power on only to find the plug fell out of the socket as they can at times be loose fitting in some sockets.

Just open your saturn up by unscrewing the bottom screws, looking from the front to the left of the system there is a long thin circuit board on top with a small glass fuse on it.
I think! in a JAP Saturn it's AC125V 1.6A
