Hullo all. Just registered to ask: are Saturn multitaps multi-region? I thought I read, ages ago, that japanese multitaps could be used on PAL Saturns. But I have a bad feeling I might've been hallucinating.
Could solve the problem of buying a £25 jap tap or a £50 UK tap, though...

They are multi-region. I have a Japanese one and it works fine with my PAL mark 1. The one I have is an official Sega one though - might be better to stick to 1st party.
Other people here would know about 3rd party ones.

Any Saturn controllers work on any region console, including multi-taps I only have one 3rd party multi-tap but it works fine on both my JAP and PAL systems.

Much appreciated! One step closer to ten-player Bomberman.

Quick epilogue: the multitap worked a treat and Bomberman went down a storm during a week away with a few friends. We almost played it more than going out places, but then I am talking about a bunch of geeks here...

Indeed. I remember getting my whole family and a couple friends into it once (with a side of Death Tank Zwei! 7 player anyone? ). Very fun stuff! The only downfall of owning a multitap is the fact that you really want to use it, and the opportunities to do so are quite scarce. What I love about the multitap is that you can have it hooked up with any game, so you don't even have to pull it out of your system... EVER. Port 1 and 2 act as the regular port 1 and 2 on non-multitap compatible games. Pretty cool stuff!
