Hello all Dunno if anyone is able to help with this but hey don't know if you don't ask. My partner has a Sega saturn ( i have never been that cultured as to owning or ever using one) she has had it for years but a couple of years back she could not get it to recognise saved games. We wondered whether it was a memory problem or is something more sinister and either way can it be fixed or is it a dead saturn (if it can be fixed I will try and see if i can get hold of it as i love older generation consoles)

Hey there! Welcome to SS:UK!
Are you talking about the internal memory? Change the battery in the system. It's RAM based and every 7 or so years (give or take 2 I suppose) the battery dies and drops your save games. There should be a door on the back of your Saturn where the battery lies.
How about memory cartridge? Make sure it's in the cartridge slot correctly. Maybe pull it out a tad on one end. The cartridge port on the Saturn is, unfortunately, quite finicky!
Hope this helps!

Same as a PC then like the Cmos battery does it look like a larger version of a watch battery? also as well my next question is where do i get a battery from if its like what i am thinking of then i do know where i can get similar but i know they can be funny occasionally.

Yea just like that. It's a bigger version of a watch battery. If you open the door it's right there. Can't miss it.
I bought my replacement batteries from a Radio Shack and they worked flawlessly. I'm not sure if there are certain brands that work better than others but grabbing a random brand worked for me! You should just be able to get them at any store that sells electronics.
