My Japanese Saturn has finally arrived but I have plugged it in and it is in black and white on my tv.
I know that this can happen if your tv can't run NTSC but I have a multi region Dreamcast and it runs all my imported games fine.
Can anyone help?

How have you got it connected? If you have more than one SCART socket on your TV sometimes only one supports RGB.

I have tried both scart sockets and the red/yellow/white av connection. Like I say, I know this tv can run 60hz as I play import Dreamcast games on it. Also it is not the console as I just tried it on my housemates tv and it was fine.

Use an RGB Scart cable, Yellow/White/Red is not RGB - you'll have to track down the model for the JP Saturn as well. The UK of Dreamcast outputs PAL 60 and RGB 60, not NTSC Saturn in 60Hz mode outputs NTSC so you'll need a RGB Cable - some TVs can decode PAL 60 but not NTSC.
