Anyone got the Saturn Hori arcade stick? I've been trying (yet again) to switch over to sticks when playing shooters. I got the Virtua Stick and it's...alright. But i really hate the buttons. Made a quick google and came up with the Hori stick. Any thoughts on this one? It looks really nice, and Hori usually equal quality.

I liked playing shooters and fighting games consistently with the Virtua Stick HSS-0136. (I am not sure if this is the Virtua Stick you have.) However, after playing these games with the HORI stick, the difference for me is profound and improved. (I ended up selling my pair set of Virtua Stick HSS-0136 and ended up buying set of the HORI sticks.)
I like the button layout better on the HORI. The stick functions really well, buttons are responsive and control is tight. All in all giving me an edge on my game. When I play shooters with the HORI, I seem to be more in control of my ship. I am able to dodge the fuck wave of bullets and various enemy firepower with more precision and ease. With the Virtua Stick, my game play seemed a bit sloppy as my ship seemed to be not in control. The buttons didn't seem to be as responsive when compared to the HORI. For a third party stick, HORI is the way to go.
Hope this may have inspired you to look into getting a HORI stick. Enjoy your Saturn gaming!

Thanks alot, very helpful post. I have also consulted the madmen over at shmups.com, and it's getting clear that i need a stick. A good one.
There a few HORI sticks on ebay france, but i can't read french and the page translator kinda sucks. So i will have to wait until they pop up in Sweden (lol..) or ebay UK/US.
Thanks man! =)

Hori's are awesome but hard to find in good shape. Most people who bought them used the hell out of them so you'll probably need to replace the buttons and/or stick.

My new boxed and sealed HORI stick has arrived today from Genki Videogames. I will be testing it out tommorrow and post about what its like. Was a little pricey at nearly £50, but a worthy investment I reckon.
