I've had my backup cartridge for about 2 years now, and now it's starting to have some problems, it corrupts saves, sometimes it doesn't save/load, sometimes when I start the saturn up, it thinks it's empty, ither that or just doesn't recognise it at all, and when that happens, I blow on the cart and when I slot it back in and check it, something goes corrupt. Does anyone know what's causing it and what I can do about it?

Well, not much you can do I'm afraid. Try cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol, and if that doesn't work try lifting the cartridge slightly in the slot. Finally, you could try and copy as many of your important saves onto the internal Saturn memory and then use the clear all save files command in the Saturn BIOS.
Sorry to hear about your issue, and I hope you fix it soon.

80% of the time the culprit is the cart connector inside the Saturn, it's pretty fragile and becomes damaged over time, especially if you swaps carts about a lot.
Is your cart an official one?
