Ascii Arcade Stick impressions

I recently brought my Saturn back from the dead, and needed an arcade stick. I have a couple of US Virtua Sticks, but they are awful. I am used to Sanwa and Seimitsu arcade sticks in my other systems, but I didn't want to spend a lot on a high grade stick for the Saturn since there are only a few games that really need the stick. The Saturn's stock pad is already awesome, so the system doesn't NEED a stick like, say, the Xbox 360.
I'd buy a Hori if I had to, but when doing some searching I found out that Amazon US has the Ascii sticks for a measley 10 bucks new. I remember from back in the day that they were supposed to be a little bit better than the Virtua Stick, which isn't saying much as pretty much EVERYTHING is better IMO. I did some searching on here and on Google, and there is very little information about the stick. So here's my impressions.
I got it today and played some Street Fighter Alpha with it. The thing I notice is the stick uses actual microswitches, making it a clicky stick. It's not quite like an arcade stick, which I don't mind since it's a console. It actually feels a lot like the old style Neo Geo home joysticks, except with a bat top.
The buttons are not microswitched, but they feel good. Again, it reminds me of a Neo Geo home sticks buttons, but stiffer and better. They are a bit too stiff for a fighter, I hope they loosen up with time. It seems like they would be very good for a shooter, as it seems like it would hold up well to rapid button mashing. I also like the layout, as long as a game has button configuration you can use it in a Capcom 6 button layout, a Neo Geo 4 button layout, the Virtua Fighter 3 button layout, and of course the normal 2-3 button shooter layout.
I'm still getting used to the stick, most of my sticks are ball top and I'm having some trouble getting used to the bat top. I may see if I can replace the shaft with one from a Virtua Stick and still use the microswitches. Otherwise, everything seems good, and although it's not as good as a Hori or Virtua Stick High Grade, it beats the heck out of the crappy US Virtua Stick and right now it is dirt cheap to find new.
