Are all Sega Saturn power supplies interchangeable?
I have a modded NTSC-J white Saturn that has a 220v power supply.
I am leaving the UK soon, and wish to add a 110v power supply.
If anyone here would like to swap their 110v power supply for my 220v I would be more than happy to do this.
From what I am aware this is a simple swap out.
Cheers,
Jeff

Yes, you can directly swap a 220v to a 110v, but there about 4 different shapes of power boards if I recall correctly, so you just have to find the one that fits your particular motherboard. (I have rigged a powerboard before so that it fits inside of a different type, but in the end, it's just not worth the trouble.)
I actually wouldn't have minded swapping a power board with you as I'm using a US one in Aus, but I know the one I have won't fit yours -- I have the older mk1 style saturn.
As a sidenote, I'd love to make my unit a multi-voltage unit as I also hop between countries, and that is possible if I can gut a samsung saturn unit (they have multi-volt PSUs)...

Thanks for the info, makes finding the one I need a bit daunting.
My console is essentially a HST-3220 with a 220v power supply.
I've noticed a few retailers in the UK selling universal power supplies for both Saturn and dreamcast, but they are always out of stock.
I'm thinking a step up converter might be easiest, the Saturn is only 25 watt.
If I find a universal saturn power supply available I will PM you.
Cheers,
Jeff

Ah cool. I didn't know they sold universal PSUs for the saturn. I just googled it and found one for the old xbox (I might grab that one as well).
And yeah, a small step-up converter will do, but it's just another set of wires one has to deal with in the back of the TV. As I said, I looove a multi-volt PSU for the saturn, so do let me know when you see one. (or even let me know what sites sell them, but are out of stock at the moment, as I can keep an eye on it myself).
Cheers for that.
