Hi guys,
If I have a Japanese Saturn set-up with a step-down converter, using an Action Replay Card (for the 1MB RAM and storage advantage), connected to my CRT TV using a SCART, is it playing games at 60Hz?
Or is it not that simple? Do I need a TV that supports it, or do all TV's support it? (I have a 14" Sony Trinitron CRT TV for my Saturn)
I cannot find a way of seeing if my games are running at 50Hz or 60Hz?

Yes it is, if your TV did not support it you would get no picture, or a black and white picture.

If connected by RGB scart then it will work regardless, if its composite or composite scart then you may get a b/w picture

Most SCART cables use composite video for sync so that's not entirely accurate. There are some TV's that aren't 60hz compatible too.

If I connect my Saturn to my HDTV using SCART, I get green horizontal lines spaced a few inches apart? OR it just doesn't come on-screen at all. Is this related?

Quite possibly, HDTV's just aren't optimised for 240p input at all. Most will accept 240p via SCART and simply handle it as 480i though. Changing to composite sync can help on some sets, but if you have a CRT you are better off sticking with that.
