Right now I have things set up so that my Super Famicom and PAL MD1 are sharing the latter's PSU. My N64 and Super Famicom are also sharing an RGB SCART. Is all this potential plugging and unplugging a bad idea? Has anyone knackered anything doing this? The ports seem pretty durable to me and it helps cut back on clutter. If I ever get a PC Engine I would also have that sharing the MD1 PSU.

I use as few plugs as possible and just swap the wires over when changing system.

I knackered a Dreamcast swapping out the AV connector all the time, so yes its easy to do. Also, the N64 and Super Famicom SCART leads should be wired slightly differently for best picture.

Seems like one should have capacitors and the other shouldn't. I'll have to do some digging...
edit: I cracked one of my cables open, I spy capacitors.
edit2: Removing the caps makes the SFC way too bright and there's no change with the N64.

The N64's picture is usually too dim if anything, hence its desirable not to have capacitors in there.
