Does anyone know which PAL game releases were available in BOTH the early carboard covered boxed and the later plastic cases? Im wondering if anyone has even considered this when collecting I brought this up as I have aquired a second copy of ManxTT which has a different case than the one I already had.

From what I saw, old games that were released in the old style were later released in the new style. so certain newer games only have the newer style box.
I had Theme Park in the old style box, been have seen it in the newer style.
Newer ones were well better. My copy of Daytona USA is battered cos its in the old box.

Yea thats why I asked tbh, no matter how well I look after the cardboard style boxed they always start to fall to pieces, would love them all in the more modern DVD style cases.

I remember mates taking the mick out of me because I owned a Saturn. One of the things they skitted me about was the Saturn cases being really big, but now the DVD cases are bigger than the Saturn ones.

ALL games were available in the DVD style casing, I've even managed to pick up Virtua Fighter 1 in a plastic box for £5.

I wonder why Sega Saturn game discs couldn't come in the same nornal CD cases as the Japanese ones. I think these UK cases are silly, and they're very bad at doing their job (holding the discs).

I find the plastic UK cases are fine at holding discs (as long as nobody has broken the teeth on them), as for the card and hard plastic cases, well I tend to take the disc off the spindle and store it in the center of the manual, much safer imho.
