Isn't there a way to tell a re-seal from a genuinely sealed game?

Isn't there a way to tell a re-seal from a genuinely sealed game? Not if you use a proper sealing machine that does a y fold. They’ve been available for years… I’d be dubious about buying on the sealed premise alone. I think it’s a big problem, bigger than most people would admit. It’s been a thing in vinyl collecting as well.

Usually it's down to the tear strip isn't it? I mean that's how you tell on Nintendo etc. I've no interest in collecting sealed Saturn games either but nor have I interest in buying sealed games and opening them making it harder for those who are into that, even if I don't really get it lol.

I get that! I’m just buying the game to play it though, and I’d rather buy new, or as NM as possible, everyone else can do as they please. I’m a collector by default, a game player first.

I get that! Yeah, no tear off on the obi strip. Just a standard jewel case seal. Although I have seen different types of seal on jp games. Then sell it and buy a non-sealed copy lol, or give it to me I'll have it and send you my non-sealed copy in exchange i could reseal it. Like most sealed games are reseals. It’s not a part of collecting I’m into. I’ve seen people selling it for £350 upwards sealed. I think mine was £170, one of the last games I bought. When I started importing games they arrived brand new a lot of the time, opened, but mint. I’d open every sealed game in existence. Mwah ha ha 😂 sealed games = totally fucking pointless they need to be opened and played!

Ikr! I think it matters less in the age of roms, but back in the day, it would be depriving someone of playing the game, especially if it was a scarce title.
I remember that git who had all those mint sealed little Samson carts. does anyone think people like this aren’t total cunts?

Was on YouTube, saw a post with some dude showing off his five sealed graded Nintendo games. With a big red arrow and £5000 pointing to one of them on his cheesy ident.just sad!

Wasn't rare to get a sealed import game in the late 90s - 00s. I wouldn't pay a premium for it nowadays as it isn't something I'm into.

That’s when things started changing. Used to get a fair few sealed games, and I think many noticed, Japanese gamers took care of their games really well, used games often being mint. Miss those days.

Super Street Fighter II The New Challengers included on the Street Fighter Collection compilation and Sega Rally Championship are what I've been playing on the Saturn these days. Honestly think the Saturn versions of Street Fighter II are some of the best out there, thanks to the controller being so good for fighting games and due to the challenge not being too high like the versions on the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.

Imo the best console port of street fighter 2, worth owning. great game.

I've got the new 3D Sega Saturn pad from Retro-bit and have been playing Quake and Duke on the Saturn.
