Hello Sega Saturn fans.
I found this forum through the Sega Saturn facebook group very happy to see a frum dedicated to my favourite gaming machine!
For those interested, I am 24 and from Bath, England. I bought my Sega Saturn in January 1996 for £350 with Virtua Cop and a gun. My favourite game is Sega Rally and right now I probably have about 20 odd games, mainly PAL but I swapped my mk1 Saturn for a mk2, which I 60hz and CD-R modded myself.
I look forward to chatting with you, LeSpank

Seriously? In the US it was only $400. £400 is about $800

1995 it was ~0.60 2000 it was ~0.70 Today its ~0.50 So at launch £400 would have been about $666 (400/0.6). 666... spooky

Thanks all Re: The price. Yes it was "documented" and actually released at £400 (with Virtua Fighter thrown in), and yes people moaned and not many people bought it. There was only 4 games out at the time (the aforementioned Virtua Fighter, along with Clockwork Knight, Daytona and Victory Goal) and to top things off the release was brought forward (read: rushed) to beat the Sony Playstation on to the shelves, a nice idea but they forgot to tell enough people it was happening. Soon the price was dropped to £300 and they bundled it with a demo disc instead of a game. That's when I bought mine and so did mick_aka by the sounds of it
