i thought they were cheaper than that, when my dad got my brother a saturn back in xmas 96 now, he mentioned that the console was 300 quid. good thing i got my new saturn for 15 quid

Thanks all Re: The price. Yes it was "documented" and actually released at £400 (with Virtua Fighter thrown in), and yes people moaned and not many people bought it. There was only 4 games out at the time (the aforementioned Virtua Fighter, along with Clockwork Knight, Daytona and Victory Goal) and to top things off the release was brought forward (read: rushed) to beat the Sony Playstation on to the shelves, a nice idea but they forgot to tell enough people it was happening. Soon the price was dropped to £300 and they bundled it with a demo disc instead of a game. That's when I bought mine and so did mick_aka by the sounds of it i watched an old episode of lol bad influence, and it said that saturn didn't have any rf cables at launch and people weren't happy with virtua fighter so remix was brought out with better graphics and was delivered free for the yanks while us brits had to buy it separately
