Just jumped on here after seeing the link on retro gamer forum.. Pretty cool, good idea I'm purely an import Saturn owner now, had all the different models over the years pretty much since launch and now settled on a white jap saturn with around 170 ish original jap games (all good ones too I might add) Anyone with back catalogue issues of Games TM I was in the issue with GTAIV on the front cover as the ultimate collection bit haha (purely because my friend writes for the magazine and 'challenged' me to send in my stuff) Saturn is the ONLY console I would never sell and remains my fave of all time. Hello to everyone, noticed a few people on here from the retro gamer forum too good night!

Welcome, but why purely import? surely you get some satisfaction out of playing games in your native language?

Welcome, but why purely import? surely you get some satisfaction out of playing games in your native language? I've had the UK stuff before, and as a lot of the UK release were slightly optimised, they run wrong on a JAP saturn. Also, nearly every game I have is pretty much in English anyway - shooters and 2D fighters don't have much story line! I finished Panzer Saga and Shining Force 3 on the UK version then swapped them for the Jap ones afterwards, the artwork is much better and the game saves still work the same. Burning Rangers was another one I did first in English then swapped to the JAP one - again the game save crosses over and once you know the levels you no longer need the voice over anyhoo. I don't particularly like the Uk or US boxes either - they fall apart and/or are too big! So that's the reason

The US art work was always hideous...We should have a poll between the best and worst US and UK covers Anyways good to have you. I stumbled across here on accedent, and am happy I did...Though it sounds like we are all the same person with close to the same opinions, which is a good thing.

Hello, I agree, Jap Saturn is the best way to go. There are so many games to play that never got a PAL release.

Or modded Saturn... the actual Saturn itself can be from anywhere ;p
Provided its modded correctly it will play everything fine. Although I hear there are some issues with some games on the Skeleton "This is Cool" Saturn.
