Hi after all, i had luck again with my permanent searching and interviewing developers from around the world about unreleased Saturn games and now i can present Vol. 4 of my Lost Games Recovery Program. This little puzzler is presented as a playable demo (the game was finished to 60-70% until cancelling) and is from the makers of Zoop (a JP-exclusive puzzler) called Hookstone Ltd. from the UK. Have fun with trying it, as usual you´ll find screenshots, a video and the ISO and european, american and japanese artwork for download... www.sega-saturn.net/games/ferox.php

Great work tracking stuff like this down. Quite impressive to keep uncovering games. Its funny that Zoop for Saturn got a JPN only release while pretty much every other system out at the time got a US release. Game looks quite interesting actually. The name doesnt make alot of sense but I guess either did Zoop

Good find. The gameplay seems to be basically Zoop with a timer instead of a barrier, but Zoop is good for an occasional blast and so I imagine this would be too. I'm worried the cubic layout would be disorienting without really adding to the visual impact, but the animation on the blocks is nice at least. Its funny that Zoop for Saturn got a JPN only release while pretty much every other system out at the time got a US release. Yeah, even the Jaguar got a version of the game, despite the system being dead in the water at that point (Zoop was one of the last games released for the Jaguar before it was discontinued, coming out just a few weeks before Fight for Life). Releasing the Saturn version in the west would have been a very low-risk investment, especially since the Saturn is a CD-based system.
