Hello all. I thought I'd come here to ask some advice about electronic repair for the Saturn's power board. My old model 1 UK Saturn blew a fuse, which is only part of the problem. I replaced the fuse on the power board with Maplin's 1.6A 'quickblow' fuses. I tried a couple and true to their name, they quickly blew. On another attempt, something else happened. Another component halfway down the board gave up with a visible flash of light. You can see where, thanks to the patch of soot in the middle of this photo: Unfortunately, switching out fuses is about my speed. I'm confident I can replace and solder in the necessary piece, but I'm not even sure which component needs replacing, let alone what it is or if I can get a replacement. I bought a replacement Saturn afterwards, but when it arrived the disc drive wouldn't work. I thought about switching the power boards between them, but as the new(ish) Saturn is a model 2, I gather they wouldn't be entirely compatible. As I see it I have five options: - Replace the blown component. (Might need help with that) - Replace the model 1 power board with a model 2 power board. (not recommended?) - Replace the model 2's drive with the model 1's drive. - Try and scrape up a replacement model 1 board on ebay. - Buy another Saturn. (Probably the easiest, if priciest option.) What would you all recommend?

power supply model S-7195, component U101: it's a TOP202YAI. One of the most common causes for errors on power supplies.
Drop-in modern replacement is the TOP224YN. I've changed a lot of them by now...
