Here's what happened to my controller after excessive use over the summer and into October. I was playing Mr Bones when this finally broke lol. I'm on the level where you control his head bouncing around on top of a huge head and you only use the d-pad. I think I was pressing it too hard as you can see the d-pad is only held in by 4 small tabs on the 4 directions of the d-pad. Not a very sturdy setup for a d-pad with old school hard pressing games lol. Any ideas on what I can do? Anyone have a 3D printer?

It was poor(?) attempt by Naki for Saturn. I played with this one as well as Saturn Japan's cordless pad and even both were using the IR the Sega one worked much better.

Can't you glue it back down to the pads?

Yea wireless pads are expensive for Saturn no matter what brand you get. I luckily got mine a while ago right before they started to really jump in price.
As far as gluing goes, I doubt it, how would that work exactly? It stays in place by 4 small notches at each direction of the d-pad and only 1 is still intact as shown in the picture.

Ah I didn't see that..
Well you could attach a metal cross piece and glue it to the back and manoeuvre it back into place. The only other thing is to perhaps actually glue the centre of the D pad to the actual switches. It may change the way the controller feels though.

Hmm, that kinds of gives me some ideas to work with. I'll have to try out a few things this weekend if I have time.
