This Post should be in the 'Light Gun Alley Section' You'll get more response if you post in the right section. It's a very popular game, I imagine most of the forum either own it or have played it. It's very popular on here and extremley common. Yes it's a good game and extremley enjoyable. If you can't afford to buy it then get Resident Evil instead. It's the closest experience you'll ever get to the game. Or you can just get the JPN version of Deep Fear as I believe the dialogue is still in English. If you look in LGA section you'll find many opinions and more info on the game on there. segasaturngroup.proboards.com/thread/10147/deep-fear-resident-evilsegasaturngroup.proboards.com/thread/8924/deep-fear

Not played it yet as its not high on my want list but it looks alright. Pretty similar to the original Resi from the sounds of things. No idea why this wasn't released in the USA, it probably would've done alright actually considering the times. I think Derek on here knows a lot more about the planned NTSC release and its prototypes.
Don't shell out for the PAL version though, get a JP copy as there is almost no Japanese dialogue or text from what I've seen. Or even get it on a back up disc with Pseudo Saturn if you really want to.
And yeah, Mick or a mod, can you move this please? Idk how you've managed to post this here but it should be in Light Gun Alley like Sych has noted.

I have every resident evil game up to 5. I have almost every system going back to ATARI. For the record 5 sucked. I love the survival horror games. I thought Deep Fear would be a different take on the theme. I would love to get a PAL release but I will not pay $500 for it. I don't know about JPN releases. Like I said Dragon Warrior 2 is unplayable due to the language barrier.

I don't know where you get that $500 figure from. Given the PAL version goes around the $200 mark.

EBAY is the only place I can find it for sale. If you know where else to get it I would love to know. I cant add a hyperlink on this page but if you go on EBAY its $500. Thanks for responding.

What the hell, when I type in the game title into the EBAY search bar I only get two hits and they are both for $500. What am I doing wrong?

These maybe came online today. Don't know. Talking with a guy in Europe with a PAL version. $307 US dollars plus shipping. I prefer PAL over JPN releases. Speaking of JPN releases does anyone want a copy of Dragon Force 2? I will send it you for free and cover the shipping. If no one wants it, garbage can time. I would prefer to give it away versus throwing it away. First come first serve.

Honestly, I would recommend getting the Japanese version unless you have the money to throw at the PAL version. I was unsure about the Japanese version at first, but I´m glad I decided to buy it. The cutscenes and everything are in English, only the inventory is in Japanese (from what I remember) so it is perfectly playable.
The language only caused an issue at one point early on, and only because the fire extinguisher you need to use near the beginning is a water-grenade thing. Aside from that, the images of the items are pretty clear as to what they are.

There's a puzzle which involves mixing chemicals. Something you won't be able to do without English text. Unless you refer to a let's play video.

I don't know and thanks Spanish adam. I have a real problem with the Japanese releases. I don't speak the language. The PAL is a better option for me.

I don´t speak the language either, and trust me, it isn´t much of an issue at all. The fire extinguisher was the only bit I remember having issues with. I don´t remember having issues with the chemical part, but maybe I just looked it up on an FAQ. I don´t remember. It´s definitely a cheaper option if you don´t want to spend hundreds on a game. I was really unsure at first because of the Japanese, but now I don´t regret getting it. Now I´ll only get the PAL version once I have my collection completed and have money to spare.... but only because I like the case
