You almost did. ;P Then I fixed it and gave it away. Remember?
It's probably because the Saturn is a tough machine.

I have a few broken non-official controllers if your interested? They are the Madcatz ones. One of them the left and right on the d-pad doesnt work and the other seems to be completely dead?
Interested?

Not really sorry, I have controllers coming out of my ass here, the main aim of this was to try and amass a collection of working motherboards, power boards, and laser assembleys which I could just send out to anyone in need of one and ask for a site donation of anything they can afford in return,

Ok no problems.
I just mentioned it as I was going to take them apart when I get chance to see if there was anything obvious and easy that I could fix and bin if not.

I reckon I've fixed 90% of controllers by just stripping, cleaning and re-seating the rubber membranes inside.
If it comes to throwing them in the trash than by all means mail them over!

OOPS forgot to tell you Mick - I got in contact with my mate and he's happy to give me his old Saturn (apparently it's in his garage!!). As I suspected - it is broken. However, He said that he managed to get it working by gluing the start button down!!? I have no idea what model it is as I didn't think to ask. But I'm pretty sure it was a model 1, unless my memory has started lying to me again. I won't be able to pick it up until boxing day though, so I'll get back to you after Christmas on this one. I know all of this sounds a bit tenuous, but he's a very reliable guy, so I'll let you know as soon as I have it. ** edited for grammar - I really should have been in my bed when I posted this!!
