Hey, thanks! Hope so, hard to say really theres good and bad in all genres, I suppose it was House of the dead and Virtua Fighter 2 which sold the Saturn to me all those years ago. I signed up here after trawling ebay and came across a title Ive never seen before "Mansion of hidden souls" is it any good?? Thanks.

I personally haven't played it but heard quite a few horror stories about that game so I avoided it like the plague. One way to get second opinions on any Saturn game here is to go to the Saturn games section 'Light Gun Alley' and see if anyones created a thread about the game, simply type in the name of the game in the search box and see what comes up. If you don't see the game you wanna know about listed, you can simply create a new thread and the members will respond with their feedback. But as I'm nice a nice guy, I've already found the link which I've provided below: Mansion of Hidden Souls' discussion on SSUK discussion segasaturngroup.proboards.com/thread/5567/mansion-hidden-soulsAnd finally here's a youtube review of the game below: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1owUO5HbYqs

Ahh right, thanks for that! A typical saturn issue then. I love the saturn but my only grievance with the console is the large percentage of its games with no length or depth.

I haven't found that at all. There are plenty of Saturn games with depth and length it all depends on the type of games you're into. I could give you some reccomendations

Exhumed is a great game and has the durability and depth which you crave. Also look up:
Assualt Suit Leynos 2 Princess Crown Bulk Slash Panzer Dragoon Saga Enemy Zero Iron Storm Black Matrix Shinning Force 3 Dragon Force Wachenroder Streetfighter Zero 3 Bug Too Cotton 2 Radiant Silvergun
Those game ones will definitly keep you busy for awhile.

Some great games on that list but it is true, Some games on that list will set you back the price of a new 3ds but will only go up in price and are excellent games. You want length and depth, go for panzer dragoon saga, 4 disc Monster but it aint cheap though.

Hate to say it, but I think when retro games are that expensive, the best thing to do is to just pirate them, or play them on an emulator. Its insane that this game costs what it does, and Sega certainly don't benefit from it being that pricey on Ebay, nor do they lose out from people playing a pirated copy or emulated version. Its a pity they can't just re-release PDS on Xbox Live or PSN, with upgraded visuals and put it on there for a tenner. It would hopefully knock the wind out of the price of the original a bit, but at least give the rest of the population a legal way of playing this game (and generate Sega some cash).

As far as I know the original source code of PDS is lost - so a remake would be very expensive to create as it would need to redeveloped from scratch.
