Sadly only have the one, you'd think there would be still some about. Rather expensive for the average gamer back then tho. PS2 version of the official RGB cable maybe ok if that helps widen the search as the old one works on PS2.

As you can imagine the original official PSone cable was like £35 so quality on that part. Could well be cabling as it was used on my Commodore 1084ST Monitor rather than TV so went back to plugging in one at a time.
Any idea how much they go for now days? Can't remember how much it was. Might of got it in HMV. Long time ago, 1996-ish or just after.

I have one of those Mad Katz Universal RGB SCART System Selector. Back in the day when I first got it my Saturn was fine, but for some strange reason switching over to PSone using the official Sony RGB scart lead anything blue would clash as you would expect red to do so via composhite. Don't get me worng, nice picture but the blue was a no, no and very strange. Almost S-Video looking vs RGB. I recall if I took the Saturn out the PSone would display perfect, I think lol. Faulty maybe, maybe a 3rd party PSone lead might of sorted it out but I never had my hopes up when I bought it and have not used it since.

Best off keeping your Japanese Saturn as is and grab another Saturn from your own region if that's the game region you wish to play. Normally people want it around the other way as in Europe, USA ect... want to play Asian games on their home land machine so get that chipped & switched instead.

I've done that my self on one of my Commodore RGB monitors. I just picked up a fully wired 2 scart in's to one out but the cable is about 30cm long. Shorter the better else your start losing the picture quality/colours.
As you can imagine I only have one thing plugged in at a time as before, but now have two scart sockets to wear out instead.
If you take this option just make sure the cable is as short as possible! Maplins may have some nice solid ones...

The original 1995 release of Daytona USA for me.
If I could ignore Daytona USA for 1 sec it would be a number of factors...

Wipeout 2097 on Saturn is slick considering a number of games failed to tap into it's goodness and indeed the first game might put you off having more of the same... However this one does well and will have you being proud of the machine it's that GOOD! Best of all for me, (ok Fire Starter a Wipeout classic is missing) all the numb nuts atmospheric backing style sound tracks have been removed leaving the Saturn with all the best beat tunes to race with. Every race your tapping your feet to the speed as it sounds more pumped up now. 3D pad is also supported and the official sega mag made a right fuss over this vs PSone. PSone is a little slicker, smoother and a tad more responsive but in no time your find all the game play is intact and a clean up on the sound track makes it a better game to roll with imo. Wipeout 1 was a little choppy to be fair on Saturn and that's your fear not know either way, but worry not... they went that extra mile to please making WipeOut 2097 a Saturn Classic and it's right up there with Sega Rally! ;D Crazy vid Review:

If only Japan was a quick/cheap island hop for us in the UK. Would love to go there and like you say there would be more than the amount of cash you have to spend and would go home wishing you had more.

Lighter Fluid, google it's use for removing glue and the like if your not sure. Handy for removing stickers & price tag glue left behind. Say you bought a CD and half the glue is smudged in on the surface of the plastic. NIGHTMARE!! A drop of lighter fluid will take it off easy and it'll look like new again.

Link: www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=261289206That's what I use for all my computers and gaming stuff. It removes the grease and crap and evaporates quickly. Excellent stuff for gold contacts like Sega Megadrive carts, good as new. Any glue like substance, a drop of lighter fluid on a bit of kitchen towel.

Clean and tidy reasons sure thing. That's why this mess hides behind the tower and not out the front.

Sorry to break it to you but you can use the real things and many more from PS1, PS2, N64, Game Cube, MegaDrive Amiga, C64 ect... Spares from a broken pad could of been used to fix another official pad if and when the time comes...
